Farah Vazehan one of the Ashuradetainees, who is sentenced to death, has suffered a heartattack and has been transferred to a hospital outside Evinprison.
Vazehan was arrested December 29, 2009.

The mother from Mansour Osanloo said in an interview with radio Farda that authorities need to release her son soon as possible.
Osanloo is chairman and founder of the Tehran and Suburbs Vahed Bus Workers Syndicate.
Three years ago he was accused of acting against national security and spreading propaganda against the Iranian regime and has been condemned to five years in prison.Last month, one more year was added to his previous sentence while he remains in prison.

The deathsentence of the teacher Abdolreza Ghanbar, from Pakdasht has been reduced to prison.
Ghanbar was sentenced to death by judge Salavati for Moharebeh (waging war against god) by collaborating with anti-regime groups, having connections with an abroad television station, and having suspicious emails.

In the prison of Mashad are christian prisoners in poor conditions.
The revolutionary court of Mashhad threathened the families of these prisoners that if these prisoners do not adhere back to Islam they will be sentenced for "apostasy".
Among these prisoners are Ehsan Behrouz, a person named Reza who is said to be the servitor for a house church in Mashhad along with his wife and eight others, they were going to participate in a Christian ceremony and were detained. The eight of them were released after a week.

September 5, teachers protested in front of the parliament against the job termination for their part time colleagues.

Italian striker Francesco Totti has joines Adnkronos International Campaign: Flowers not Stones, to save Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiari from stoning. This campaign urges people all over the world to leave flowers outside the Iranian embassy.
Various intellectuals from countries including Iran, Lebanon, Morocco and Egypt support this campaign.
The international outcry around the verdict is big. The Vatican has said it is considering making an appeal on her behalf to the Iranian government.

September 6th is Mohammad Marvi, a dervish of the Nematollahi-Gonabadi order arrested for disobeying the police orders.
Several police-officers entered his office, and asked him to remove the pictures of the leaders of the Nematollahi-Gonabadi order from his office.
Marvi refused this and he was arrested. Later the officials returned to his workplace and collected the pictures after breaking the entrance door.

Iran: cruel

President Ahmadinejad said in an interview with Dutch television that Iran does not recognize dual citizenship.
Zahra Bahrami is an Iranian citizen and will be tried like one.
The Dutch embassy will not be allowed to visit her.
Bahrami is accused of moharebeh and drugstrafficking. She can be sentenced to death for these charges.
The interview will be broadcast tonight at 22.25.


Yesterday individuals wrote insulting slogans on the store front of Bahá’í citizen Soroosh Garshasbi in Tankabon (Mazandaran).
These slogans said ” Death to the Israeli Bahai” and ” Death to the Bahai Israeli spy”. Soroosh Garshasbi has spent some time in jail.

On the evening of the attack on Karroubi's house Hadi Shirpour and his wife, who wanted to visit Karroubi, were beaten up by the basij.
The basij pulled Mrs. Shirpour’s chador (Islamic cover) and started beating.
Police forces detained them and they have both been transferred to the Evin Prison.

Kamel Shablooie, Bashir Chartaagh, and Behrooz Aalkhani from Salmas and Akbar Akbarloo from Khoy city, were arrested and charged with "activities against the state".
After interrogation they were transferred to the central prison in Orumieh and due to the existence of torture marks on their bodies, until their disappearance they are being kept in solitary confinement.
This is eight months ago and these political prisoners have been barred from visitations and making phone calls. Their familymembers say that the authorities have been denying having them in their custody.
Reports say that August 31, , Mohsen Beikvand who repeatedly was tortured had been murdered by prisonguards in ward 6 of hall 16 in Rajai Shahr prison .
In June 2010 he was transferred to an isolationcell in Rajai Shahr prison and prisonauthorities directly issued an order to other prisoners to murder Beikvand.
The murder of prisoners by other prisoners is commonly organized and directed by prison authorities.
In June a video was releassed by HRANA revealing the torture of Beikvand while in prison.Beikvand had broken legs and his body was also burned while under torture.

Friday September 3 the Times made an apology because the Times-uk had printed a photograph of a unveiled woman, identified as Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiari. This photograph was of another woman, named Susan Hejrat, an Iranian expat, living in Sweden.
Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiari was punished for this by the authorities with 99 lashes.

Mehrnews wrote last week that Iran’s ambassador to the Netherlands said that recently over 100 Dutch businessmen of Netherlands Iranian Business Association (NIBA) objected to the economic sanctions.
Tehran Times wrote September 4 that last Wednesday the NIBA organized a meeting where Dutch businessmen were informed about the new EU-sanctions imposed on Iran.
The NIBA was concerned that these sanctions would do more harm to Dutch trade and business than to Iran.
Nevertheless they understood the necessity to impose these sanctions as Iran violates international protocols on human rights and nuclear policies.

She is charged with "assembly and collusion to commit a crime", "propaganda against the state" and mohabereh (enmity against God) for her reporting and activism.
Amnesty International demands her immediate and unconditionally release.

Yesterday, after the QodsDay rally attacked a group of people with 150 plainclothed agents,attacked the Qoba-mosque in Shiraz.

Yesterday-evening basijforces attacked the house of Mehdi Karroubi again.
After breaking the front door they attempted to enter the building which forced the building security guards to shoot in the air.
Fatemeh Karroubi told in an interview that some people were injured.
In Teheran is today the annual state-sponsored rally known as Quds Day, or Jerusalem Day.
There are reports that basij again attacked Karroubi's residence.

Iran: violence

The silent executions in Vakil Abbad prison in Mashhad continue.
They bring those who are to be executed in groups of 70 to the visiting hall of Vakil Abad Prison in Mashhad and an hour before sunset they are hanged in a mass execution with nooses sent from Tehran.
Nobody knows until moments before their execution why they have been summoned to the Prison Office and only when all the prison phones go dead they know there will be an execution.

In the detentioncentre of the Ministry for Information in Tabriz have two Azeriactivists been subject to torture.
Younes Soleimani, former editor of the student publication Iladrim at Bou Ali Sina University in Hamedan has been tortured with electrical shocks.
He has suffered heart problems due to the tortures.
Other detained activists heard Ayat Mehr Ali Biglou's screams while he was being tortured.
Younes Soleimani has been arrested in Ardebil at June 16 and Ayat Mehr Ali Biglou was arrested May 9 in Soufian.
Their lawyers have not been able to look at the case files.
