The bahai Zahra Nik-A’in and Taraneh Torabi, were summoned to serve their sentences of resp. 23 and 20 months despite they both have infants of five months and one month old.

Humanrightsactivist Dr.Mohamed Hasan Yousef Pourseifi is convicted to 5 years and 6 months in prison. Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran reports that the member of Human Rights Activists Organization in Iran and member of Defense of Child Laborers is convicted on July 25 for articles 500, 513 and 610 of Islamic Penal Code.

Seventeen Gonabadi derwishes from Kovar have been summoned by the revolutionary court in Shiraz.
Charges are: acting against national security, disturbing public order, assault and battery and carrying of illegal weapon.

Sixteen Iranian members of parliament, conservatives and pro reformists urged the minister of justice to “speed up” the 2009 case involving detainees at the Kahrizak Detention Centre who were reportedly tortured and murdered.
In 2009 former Tehran prosecutor Saeed Mortazavi along with 2 judges were quickly removed when a a parliamentary probe found that the officials in charge of transferring prisoners to the notorious prison must have known they would be subjected to torture.

The man, H.B. was convicted for keeping and carrying drugs.

The ecological situation of Lake Urmia is very tense.
Newsagency Fars reported that the Deputy Head of Iranian Environmental Protection Department, said on Monday that if nothing changes, in the near future this will create problems also in the security sphere.
The area of Lake Urmia is about 6000 square kilometres. By the dehydration of more then onethird of the lake, the saltconcentration is extremely high, which is disastrous, not only for flora and fauna, but also for drinkwaterresources.

F-Secure Security Labs wrote that an Iranian scientist who works for Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) reported that probably a cyberworm in Natanz and Qom affected computers with “some music playing randomly” at high volumes on workstations during the night.

In Iran has been announced that suspects had been arrested in connection with the July 2011 killing of a nuclear scientist. The minister of intelligence said this on Sunday on the anniversary of the death of one of the victims. He gave no further details.

The men, named Eidi Sh. , 55, convicted for participating in 148 kilos and 850 grams of opium, Malang S.A., 54 convicted for possession of 10,435 grams of crack, Teymor M. Gh, 49, convicted for possession of 147 kilograms and 850 grams of opium.

Noorollah Qabitizade48 a converted Christian has been released on July 17th from Karoonprison in Ahwaz.
He had been arrested along with 10 others on Christmas Eve 2010 in Dezful.
He had been tortured during interrogations and him was told that he was going to be sentenced to death.

Imprisoned studentactivist and former vice secretary of Tehran’s Tahkim Vahdat (student alumni organization) and the Islamic Student Association at the Tarbiat Moalem University Shabnam Madadzadeh wrote a letter about the transfer of two female political prisoners from Evin prison to Gharchak prison in Varamin.
She has been sentenced to 5 years in prison and is currently held in Evin prison.
Her brother Farzad Madadzadeh, is also sentenced to five years in jail. He is currently held incommunicado in Rajai Shahr ‘Gohardasht’ prison.

New York police says that Iranian revolutionary guards and their proxies so far this year are involved in at least nine plots on Israelian or jewish organizations.
Reports from intelligence analysts for the New York Police Department (NYPD) say three plots were foiled in January, three in February and another three since late June.Iran repeatedly denied supporting militant attacks abroad.

The Iranian government already privatized 17 of its 45 power plants and will transfer 28 more plants with an estimated value of $11.4 billion , by the end of the current Iranian calendaryear.

Before he was sentenced to 74 lashes after being convicted of insulting the President.

The humanrightscommittee of studentorganization Tahkim-e Vahdat issued a second report to the UN’s special rapporteur on human rights for Iran..
This 2nd report examines student rights violations in the past nine months.
Among other things it says that while some jailed student activists have been released after serving out their sentences, 50 students remain behind bars.
Among them are Bahareh Hedayat, 10 years in prison, Ziaeddin Nabaviand Majid Dori, who are exiled to one of the worst prisons in the south of the country and Majid Tavakoli, who is in Karaj’s Rejaishahr Prison.

After the suicidebombing in Burgas, Bulgaria on a bus with Israeli tourists, Iran is accused by Israel. Iranian statemedia claimed that the accusations were ridiculous.

Newsagency SABA in Yemen reported that members of a spyring, led by a former IRGCcommander were arrested in Yemen.

According to the report, Khalid Darabi is the brother of Hussein Darabi, who was propagandizing Wahhabism and was a spy for the CIA.
Hussein Darabi escaped from Iran last year.

In an interview with International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran told the mother of detained blogger and cleric Arash Honarvar Shojaee, that her son is in bad health .Shojaee started a hungerstrike on June 30 to protest his situation.
He has been sentenced to four years in prison, 50 lashes, $800 in cash fines, and lifetime defrocking as a cleric on charges of espionage, propaganda against the regime, acting against national security, and disrespecting the clergy.
According to his mother he was healthy before he was arrested, now he suffers from epilepsy, doctors determined that this is because, while he was in solitary confinement, the beatings and tortures he was subjected to.

The keffiyeh was worn by many Iranian soldiers in the 1980-88 Iran-Iraq conflict and became a symbol of that war. Nowadays colorful keffiyehs have also become a popular fashion item among Iranian young people.

Since the effects of inflation grew and the prices of food, like chicken have risen recently, the head of Iran's police warned for films depicting scenes of chicken dinners.
The rising price of chickens symbolise the difficulties of average Iranians in a grim world.
In recent weeks, shoppers have had to pay£3.67 for a kilogram of chicken, around three times last year’s price.

Iranian physicsstudent at the University of Texas Omid Kokabee was in May sentenced to 10 years in prison on charges of espionage.Scientists around the world disputed these charges.
In June the chief of the University of Texas sent a request to UT System Chancellor to waive certain rules imposed by the Board of Regents that prohibit university personnel from making official statements on behalf of UT related to political or controversial issues.

Human Rights Watch urged Iranian authorities to stop immediately the mistreatment of two imprisoned journalists.
Mohammad Sadigh Kaboudvand is serving a prisonsentence of 10 ½ years. In March he started a hungerstrike to protest the denial of his repeated requests to visit his son, who suffers a bloodcondition.
Bahman Ahmadi-Amoui, a journalist of numerous reformist publications, who is serving a prisonsentence of 5 years in the same ward, was transferred to a prison in Karaj on June 12, as punishment for marking the anniversary of the death of another hunger-striking prisoner.

Azerbaijan poets Farid Huseynzade, 23 and Shahriyar Hajizade, 21 were arrested May 3 when they returned from a festival in Tabriz . Since then,  the foreign ministy in Baku sent five formal notes requesting an explanation to Tehran.
In a telephonecall with familymembers they told that they are accused of entering the country illegally, while Iran media reports suggest they might have been spying for Israel.
