Reuters reports that Iran is looking for a diplomatic solution for the dispute with Iraq about the Fakka oilfield that was seized by Iranian troops.
The Iraqi interior minister says that this intrusion is the latest incident in a series this week.
Mehrnews reported that National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) denies the reports.
A senior engineer from Maysan Oil Company Company, which operates the field said that Iranian troops had taken temporary control of an inoperative well in a disputed border area, four or five times this year.

Amnesty International has called for the release of December 7th arrested studentsleader Majid Tavakkoli.
Since his arrest, the whereabouts of Tavakkoli are unknown.
He is at risk of torture or other ill-treatment. Amnesty International believes he and the other detained students are prisoners of conscience, held solely for their peaceful expression of their right to freedom of expression, association and assembly.

PressTV reports that archeologists have found at excavations in Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari province more then 200 ancient sites from the Middle Paleolithic to the Qajar eras.
They also found shards of pottery, stone pieces, cemeteries and ancient sites located on natural mounds.
The majority of the discovered sites were inhabited by nomadic tribes of ancient Persia as well as Elamite and Islamic periods.

Iran: one thing after the other

December 17 is in Dizelabadprison of Kermanshah Mosleh Zamani (20)
hanged.
He was convicted of raping his girlfriend in 2006 when he was 17 years old.
Zamani is the fifth minor who is executed this year.
Also in Kermanshah are four unnamed people hanged.

Last night Twitter was hacked by a group calling itself Iranian Cyber Army.
Wednesday was the site of mowjcamp.org already been hacked by the same group.
Who or what exactly Iranian Cyber Army is, is not clear, but the action was pro- Iranian government.

Twitter says that, apart from redirection, no serverintrusion took place.

Channel4 aired an interview Wednesday, in which a member of Basij tells that he helped rigging the presidential election and describes election abuse.
The man, fled to England.

The reliability of the story is not sure, but the Channel4 journalist writes in her blog that his story confirms the reports of humanrightsgroups of the events.

Journalist Ahmad Zeid-Abadi, has been awarded the 2010 Golden Pen of Freedom, the annual press freedom prize of the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA).
Zeid-Abadi is known for an open letter he wrote in 2000 protesting the judiciary’s treatment of imprisoned journalists.
Since that time he was imprisoned for multiple times.
In August he was arrested again and sentenced to six year in prison and a livelong ban to work as a journalist.
Zeid-Abadi is the second Iranian journalist to receive the prize in recent years, following Akbar Ganji in 2006.

Iranian statetelevision announced that the country successful tested an improved version of a medium-range missile, Sejjil-2.
Testing was Wednesdaymorning.
The missile can travel 2000 miles.

A senior iranian official, Ebrahim Hamidi has presented evidence that shows links between Pakistani intelligence services and the Jundallah group.
The documents are based on confessions obtained from Abdolmalek Rigi's brother Abdolhamid, who is currently in prison in Iran.
In an interview with Fars news agency, Hamidi urged Pakistan to capture and extradite Abdolmalek Rigi.

The Committee for Human Rights Reporters reports that Benyamin Rasouli is freed after six years in prison.
When Rasouli was 15-year-old, he accidently killed a friend in a fight, and was sentenced to death.
The family of the victim has accepted $50,000 bloodmoney in compensation and forgave him.
The judge of branch 71 decided that Rasouli can be released.

Iran: convicted

Fars newsagency reports that four man were hanged in public.
In Shahr-e-Nour, province Mazandaran is 14 december Mohammad Sadegh A. (27) who was convicted to 10 years in prison, 72 lashes and public hanging executed for murder.
December 13 is Hamd Kh., convicted for murder, hanged in public in Ahvaz, province Khuzestan, and December 9 are two not identified men hanged in public in the cities of Ahvaz en Masjed-Soleiman.
December 15 is Ali S., convicted of armed robbery, hanged in public in Ahvaz.
Spokesman for Iran Human Rights, Mahmood Amiry-Moghaddam said that four public hangings in the same province seems a coordinated action by the Iranian authorities.
He says it is possible that there will be a wave of executions and it cannot be ruled out that among them are protestors against the government.

According to an interview of International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran with the lawyer of Iranian-American social scientist Kian Tajbakhsh, his file contains no new evidence.

Tabakhsh is sentenced to 15 years in prison for acting against national security and espionage.
Currently his lawyer started the appealcase.
The lawyer recently studied the file and nothing was added.

Shane Michael Bauer, Joshua Felix Fattal, and Sarah Emily Shourd were arrested July 31, at the border station Malakh-Khur, district Marivan on the Iraqi border.
They will be charged with espionage.
The American Minister of State called on Iran to release the three hikers.

Iran: threats

The burning of a photograph of Khomeini last Monday during the student protests intensified the pressure.Khamenei accuses the leaders of the opposition of desecration of Khomeini.
Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karroubi, strongly disapprove the act and accused the state broadcaster, IRIB, of fabricating it to discredit their supporters.
At a meeting with clerics Saturday , said Khamenei among other things that this grand desecration is the consequence of breaking the law and drawing encouragement from the foreign media. He also said that the presidential elections were not rigged and that Ahmadinejad won.
Opposition websites write that the regime is preparing to use the incident as a pretext for a redoubled crackdown involving the arrests of Mousavi and Karroubi.
Meanwhile, several people are arrested, there were no identities given.

After 10 days arrest, Mahdieh Golroo had a short contact with her family. She told she is in Evin prison in isolation.
December 3, she was arrested, together with her husband, Saeed Lalipour.

Journalist Sassan Aghaie was allowed a 10 minutes visit from his family. He is in isolation in ward 209 of Evin prison.
Aghaie was arrested November 22 and transferred to Evinprison.
During his arrest the agents took his computer case and his personal belongings.

Hassan Asadi-Zeidabadi and Mohammad Sadeghi 2 members of the central committee of Daftar Tahkim Vahdat are Saturday December 5th, released from prison.
They were arrested November 3rd after widespread student arrests.

Family of imprisoned journalist and blogger Fariba Pajouh finally was allowed to visit her.
She was arrested August 22 and despite a allowanceletter of the prosecutor she was denied visitors.
Her physical health is not appropriate and one of the reasons is the cold air in her cell and the inappropriate diet in Evin prison which have made her and several other prisoners ill.

Statemedia started a heavy propaganda campaign accusing the Green movement and the students disgracing Imam Khomeini by burning his photograph.

Iran's National Security Commission announced that findings of the parliamentary committee charged with probing the post-election events will not be publicized.
Hosein Sobhaninia said that the findings will only be given to members of the parliament.
The attack on the dorm of Tehrans university and the recent arrests are investigated.
The committee was created by the order of Ali Larijani, after the outbreak of protests following the disputed presidential elections in June.
Some of the members of this committee have been accused by the opposition of being party to the violations committed against protesters.
In the post-election events, 32 people were killed and over 4000 people were arrested.

Fars and other statemedia published a photograph of arrested studentleader Majid Tavakoli dressed in a woman's hijab. The text stated "This student dressed up as a woman to escape from the university campus."
An Iranian photographer rallied Iranian men on facebook to protest the treatment of Majid Tavakoli by the Iranian security forces.
The call and statement "we all are Majid".: "To prove that we are behind Majid Tavakoli, to prove that there is nothing wrong with female clothing and the only thing that's wrong is the compulsory wearing of hijab whether it is forced on the women of this country or upon Majid Tavakoli; to show that we are all together, post your picture in hijab!"
Majid Tavakoli was also arrested three years ago during a visit of president Ahmadinejad to Amir Kabir university and spent 15 months in jail. He was arrested again last year en was 115 days in jail.

The biggest Iranian bourse- deal during the last calendar year was annulled according to an appeal court verdict.
The transaction worth $1.5 billion was related to the buying of 30.5 percent of the state Khuzestan Steel Company by a private businessman, Mohammad Jaberian.
ISNA reports that the deputy director of Privatization Organization of Iran said that the shares will be priced once again.
In June the buyer revoked from the transaction due to the sharp decline in steel prices.
In September, a 50-percent plus a single share of the Telecommunication Company of Iran worth $7.8 billion was offered on the stock market as the biggest ever transaction deal made in the country.
These stocks were purchased by the IRGC.

Journalist Noushin Ahmadi Khorasani wrote a book about the struggle of Iranian women to end discrimination against them.
The English edition of the book Iranian Women’s One Million Signatures Campaign for Equality: The Inside Story, is published and as Khorasani is unable to promote her book herself, this was done by Mahnaz Afkhami, former Minister of State for Woman's Affairs in Iran, in her behalf on VOA.

Amnesty International December 11 said that the 3,400 members of People's Mojaheddin Organization of Iran (PMOI) in Camp Ashraf in Iraq must not forcibly be re-located.
Sources told Amnesty that that residents of Camp Ashraf, have been given a deadline of 15 December 2009 to leave or they will be forcibly removed and relocated elsewhere in Iraq. Some may also be at risk of being forcibly returned to Iran.

7 students of Zanjan university received additional sentences for part of their charges which were within the jurisdiction of Public Courts.
Soorena Hashemi, Bahram Vahedi, Hassan Joneydi, Arash Rayeji and Payam Shakiba were each sentenced to one year in prison on charges of acting against national security and acting to hold an illegal rally.
Alireza Firouzi was sentenced to one year and four months in prison on charges of acting against national security, acting to hold an illegal rally and acting against the sacred system of the Islamic Republic.
Soorena Hashemi and Alireza Firouzi (a member of HRA) were additionally sentenced to to one and a half year imprisonment each,for filming and distribution of the videos.
Bahram Vahedi was sentenced to one year in prison and $150 fine for distribution of the video and assisting the filming.
Arash Rayeji and Mohammad Hassan Joneydi were each sentenced to a year in prison and Hossein Saremi to payment of a fine of $150 for being an accomplice.
Payam Shakiba is acquitted of charges.

Iran: harasment

Human Rights Watch called Iranian authorities to immediately stop their harassment campaign against Shirin Ebadi, the human rights defender and 2003 Nobel Peace Laureate, and her family.
In November, a Revolutionary Court order froze Ebadi's personal bank accounts and her retirement pay and authorized confiscation of the family's belongings, including her husband's safe deposit box that held her Nobel Peace Prize.

Many arrested students were transferred to unknown places.
Mohammad Yousef Rashidi is on dry hungerstrike.
Amir-Hossein Tavakoli of Ghazvin Azad university was arrested November 8 and after a week of solitary confinement transferred to Evin ward 350.
Foad Shams, is being held in solitary confinement in ward 209 of Evin since his arrest December 2 and his family did not get any information.
Shams suffers from acute respiratory problems.
Since Mahdieh Golroo and her husband were arrested December 3, she is missing.
According to her family, Golroo is not registered as a prisoner on the Revolutionary Court’s list.
Armin Rajabpoor Nikna of Gulan university is arrested after being summoned December 6th to the office of the Ministry of Intelligence. His family has not heard from him since his arrest.

The 6 year prison sentence of Mohammad Azizi is upheld by the appeal's court.
Azizi was arrested last winter and found guilty of collaborating with Kurdish political parties.
Student Farzam Moi'ni of Ghazvin International Emam Khomeini University is arrested on the campus.
Farhad Farnood, Mehdi Kalari, Hamed Tork-Zadeh and Mohsen Zareh were arrested December 7th at university campus by agents of the Ministry of Intelligence.
Mehdi Allah-Yari was arrested thatvsame day on 16 Azarstreet near the university. All are transferred to Evinprison.
Maysam Hosseini, Javid Haj-Hematti and Abbas Ghaderi from Khajeh Nasir University, are arrested. Despite efforts by his family to find information, it is not clear which authorities have arrested Hosseini or where he is being held.
Saeed Nour-Mohammadi, member of Participation Front,who was arrested at the Komalprayers, 50 days ago, was finally able to see his family. His brother was allowed to visit him in a visitorcabin with two guards. His brother told that one of Saeeds fingers was bandaged and he looked tired and distressed.
The courttrial against the ex-minister of foreign affairs Mohsen Amin-Zadeh will be held December 14.
The trial against Safayi-Farahani, is December 12 and the trial against Taj-Zadeh will be held December 13th.


Since Kurdish activist Ali Mahmoodi was arrested, September 27, his family was only allowed once to visit him.
50 days ago was this visit and Mahmoodi has not been heard from since.
The second trial of Mohieddin Azadi and Shirkoo Rahimi, who are accused of having ties to a Kurdish opposition group, is postponed.
The Kurdish activists Feraydoon Raziani (Ajoan), Farhad Zera’ati and Masoud Habibi, were released.
