June 15 were 60 members of Coordinating Committee to Help Form Workers’ Organizations and a number of labour activists  arrested in Karaj city.

The arrested were brought to Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj.
June 16 juni almost all, including Mahmoud Salehi,were released. The names of the still imprisoned people are: Cyrus Fathi, Alireza Asqari, Jalil Mohammadi, Saeed Marzban, Masood Salim Pour, Maziar Mehrpour, Reyhaneh Ansari, Faramarz Fetrat Nejad and Mitra Homayouni.

In an interview with "Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung" said president Ahmadinejad that he had no plans to run for president a third time.
He also said that he does not seek to form a political party.He plans to "return to scientific work" at a university, although he held out the possibility that he might engage in political activity there.

Iran: more, June 16, 2012

The head of Iran’s Passive Defense Organization says that Iranian cyberexperts are preparing a strategic cyber defense plan to help the country counter cyber attacks.
He also said that Iran was in recent years the target of numerous cyber attacks,but Iranian experts had been able to successfully monitor and counter the threats.

Reports by the Human Rights Activists News Agency say that three political prisoners of East Azarbaijan Ebrahim Farajzadeh, Reza Abri and Ali Hossein Tahamtan Iranegh all arrested during the burial services of Changiz Bakhtavar on December 29, 2009, have been sentenced by the Court Appeals from six months to a year in prison.
Along with Ebrahim Asemani and Morteza Saylab they were brought to the Intelligence Ministry’s detention center.

Iran: regulation June 1, 2012

Dutch IND froze approximately 125 visa applications for Iranian students.
The spokesman of IND stated that it is because of new sanctions of European Commission and they are waiting for the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs to make the final decision.
Worried Iranian students sent messages to Persian Dutch Network and write that they are worried for their residency and studies.
IND says that they just follow the EU regulations.

Shadi Sadr wrote an article in Huffington Post about humanrights situations and the Iranian Bar Association who over the last few years are persecuted by the regime. First, they arrested the civil and political activists, then their lawyers. Then, they arrested the lawyers defending the imprisoned lawyers.
Now with no-one left to defend the civil and political activists, they took steps towards taking over the Bar Association.

In the prison of Isfahan is June 13 a man hanged.
The man, Jomeh R. was charged with keeping of 9 kilograms and 950 grams morphine.

Mostafa Tajzadeh, the imprisoned member of Hezbe Mosharekat (Participation Party) and the Sazemane Mojahedin Enghelab Eslami (Revolutionary Mojahedin of the Islamic Revolution) wrote on the third anniversary of Iran’s disputed presidential election of 2009,another letter to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in which he holds the ayatollah responsible for the events after the 2009 presidential vote and asks him to take responsibility.
Tajzadeh was deputy minister of the interior in the Khatami administration.

Iran: sentencing June 13, 2012

Humanrightslawyer Abdolfattah Soltani was in appeal sentenced to 13 years in prison.In March he was sentenced to 18 years in prison.Last year he was arrested and charged with endangering national security among other charges.

On the third anniversary of the disputed 2009 Iranian presidential election,6 prisoners were transferred to the Intelligence Ministry’s Ward 209 at Evin Prison.
Sources told International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran that they are concerned about the way the intelligence forces may treat these prisoners.
Yesterday 50 political prisoners refused to appear at the visitation hall in protest to the treatment of prisoners at the prison. Subsequently Javad Alikhani, Bahman Ahmadi Amouee, Saeed Matinpour, Arash Saghar, Farshad Ghorbanpour and Saeed Jalalifar were brought to ward 209.
Since they all their finalized prison terms, this transfer is considered illegal.

The faith of the 5 Ahwazi Arabs who are in imminent danger of execution is still unknown.
A local source told Campaign for Human Rights in Iran that Police Special Forces are stationed in Karoon Prison that it has created a worrying atmosphere.
The five prisoners are all from Mallashieh Ahvaz in province Khuzestan in Iran, their names are: Abdolrahman Heydari, Taha Heydari, Jamshid Heydari, Mansour Heydari, and Amir Moavi.

In Iran are 8 prisoners in danger of imminent execution  According to the spokesman of  Iran Human Rights, Mahmood Amiry-Moghaddam, is international pressure the last chance for tese prisoners.  gevangenen.
Five sentenced to death Ahwazi Arabs are transferred to an unknown location.  The brothers Abdolrahman, Taha, and Jamsheed Haidari , their cousin Mansour Haidari and Amir Moawya are sentenced to death for allegedly killing a security agent during protests in Ahwaz in 2011. Their families is told that they will be executed in public wiithin 30 days.
In AdelAbad prison in Shiraz is a woman, Maryam (Safieh Ghafouri)28, in danger of imminent execution for murder. 10 days ago she was on the executionlist, but her execution was postponed. Only an order from the head of the judiciary can stop Maryam’s execution.
In Bushehr are 2 unnamed men in danger of being executed in public.
All these executions are scheduled for Monday. At this moment it is not known whether they have been executed.

June 9 were 2 men hanged in the prison of Zahedan.
The official judicial site reports that they were named Mohammad Mohammad-Hassani Lotak and Saeed Baluch Shahbakhsh. They were convicted for moharebe by kidnapping, corruption on earth and having large amounts of drugs and arms.

The Iran Human Rights Documentation Center (IHRDC), reports that sources say that in late May Mehrdad Sajjadi (34 ) member of the Board of Trustees of the Immanuel Presbyterian church in Tehran along with his wife Forough Dashtianipour is arrested.
Agents searched their house. The reason of the arrest is unknown.

June 5,2012 the famous Iranian pop musician from the 70's Toofan Ataee, known as Toofan or 2Fun, died of lungcancer in Los Angeles. . His music was extensively popular before the revolution in Iran, but was banned after 1979.

Iran: more June 8th 2012

According to the official site of the Iranian judiciary, five prisoners were hanged in public on 3 different places.
The names are Abbas Z. for possession of 143 kilo of crack, Aref A. possession of 148 kilograms of crack and 20 grams of Hashish and possession of 4,500 illegal norgesic units, Abolghassem A. possession of 19 kilograms of crack and six kilograms of opium, Farhang N. keeping and carrying 123 kilograms and selling 20 kilograms of crack, Ali Akbar M. purchasing and possessing 23 kilograms of crack.

80-year-old grandfather of imprisoned studentactivist Arash Sadeghi has been arrested. The website Kaleme reports that Shirollah Dargahi, 80, the grandfather of Arash Sadeghi,wednesdaynight was arrested and brought to an unknown location to be questioned.

According to Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), political Kurdish prisonerMohammad Mehdi Zalieh Naghshbandian died yesterday in Rajai Sharprison. He was transferred to hospital earlier this month for serious healthproblems. He was a victim of chemical warfare during the Iran-Iraq War. He was sentenced to a life in prison on charges of cooperating with a Kurdish group and was transferred to Rejai Shahr Prison after 18 years in Oroumiyeh Prison.

Blogger Hossein Ronaghi Maleki, who currently is in hospital has despite his critical situation, started a dry hungerstrike.
More then 10 days ago he started a hungerstrike to protest the violation of humanrights in prison. This week he was hospitalized.





Mohammad Sedigh Kaboudvand founder of the first humanrightsorganization in Kurdistan, has been in hungerstrike for almost 2 weeks and was transferred to the prisoninfirmery of Evinprison on June 4. There has been no information on his location since that date.

Iran: critical June 6, 2012

June 5 IRHCagents stormed the hospitalroom of blogger Hossein Ronaghi Maleki Maleki was hospitalized in critical condition due to complications from his hunger strike. They transferred him to another room and banned him from visit.
The Sepahagents also threatened his family not to publish any information about Hossein’s condition.
The website Kaleme reported that the agents did not give any reason for their actions.
Maleki only has one kidney left and continues his hungerstrike despite the risk to loose this kidney too.

117 Iranian political prisoners from ward 350 of Evinprison wrote a warning to authorities that Hossein Ronaghi Maleki's life is in danger because of his hungerstrike.
They refer to another blogger Hoda Saber who died in prison during his hunger strike, and they urge the authorities stop a similar situation from befalling another prisoner.

International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran reports that on May 21 the Kurdish political prisoner Jahangir Badozadeh transferred to the section of drugstraffickers. Authorities were previously keeping him in solitary confinement.
A source told ICHRI that Badozadeh is in prison since 2004.He was sentenced to death but this verdict was reduced to life in prison.

Riaz Sobhani,66 currently in prison for financially assisting the Baha’i Institute of Higher Education (BIHE), was denied, a medical leave after his heartsurgery.
He was transferred to the hospital with chains on his hands and feet and guarded day and night. His family only was allowed to visit him  a couple of times.

June 1, it was one year that Haleh Sahabi, 54 after being beaten by security forces at her fathers funeral, died of cardiac arrest.
Sahabi was a womensrightsactivist, religious scholar and member of the group Iranian Mothers for Peace. Authorities reported the cause of her death as emotional distress caused by her father’s death. She was serving a prisonsentence of 2 years.
Her brother told ICHRI about the slow progress of the case with the Judiciary.

Iran: Tie June 4, 2012

In Nimroz province in Iran were 3 men hanged. The men, Afghan residents of Takhar province were convicted on drugsrelated charges. Officials reported that 2 men were around 25 years old and one man 36 years.
The number of Afghan citizens in Iranian prisons is unknown however a number of  Afghans have been hanged over criminal and drugs smuggle charges in this country during the recent years.

The Iranian minister of defense said the country's new space centre which is to be used to launch satellites is currently 80% complete.Iran has two space exploration facilities, a launch centre near Semnan,and a satellite monitoring site outside Mahdasht.

In Iran selling neckties is banned since 1979. In recent years ties had returned to boutiques and shops.
Despite the ban on selling ties, wearing them is not an offence. Many people wear a tie. According to ISNA the shops received a letter from the police to notify them to take their ties off display and that those who break the ban risk having their shops closed down.
