Iran: choose

108 million ballot papers are printed for the elections on Friday.
46 million people are qualified to participate in the fourth round of Experts Assembly elections and 44 million in the third round of council elections.
The difference between the two figures is because the ministry cannot hold council elections in villages with less than 20 families and in townships that are not linked to a city.
128,000 ballot boxes and 64,000 polling stations have been set up nationwide.

The blog under underground by Yasser, a student at Azad university has an entry about how elections change people behaviour...at least till the end of the elections.

The blog inside iran by Jadi, an Iranian from Teheran has the answer on 10 questions, asked per mail by Joe who wants to know how people in various countries do common things like garbagedisposal, greetings, and clothing.

In Iran deathpenalty is in use. Also for child offenders.
