Januar 30th is in the prison of Zanjan a man hanged.
Fars newsagency reported that the not named man was sentenced for drugstrafficking.

Human Rights Watch stated that Iran immediately has to release dozens of union and labouractivists who recently were arrested.
Safety agents arrested yesterday the labouractivist Ali Akhavan in his house in Tehran. In recent weeks there was a crackdown on labouractivists.
Among them are Mohammad Jarahi, Shahrokh Zamani, Sheys Amani, Sharif Saedpanah and Mozafar Salehnia.

Student activist and journalist Mohsen Sanatipour from Ferdowsi University in Mashhad and secretary of Allameh Group of the university, is sentenced to one year in prison.
The sentence is served to his lawyer last week and the judge summoned him to begin serving his sentence.

In recent days 4 IRGC-commandanders died without the usual condolences to their families from Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, he did however send his condolences to Ali Fadavi, commander of the IRGC naval forces, whose father recently died.
Guard chief Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari and former IRGC chief Major General Yahya Rahim-Safavi, even did not attend the memorials.
The four who had apparently fallen from grace are Mansoor Torkan 50, Dr. Vafa Ghaffarian 52, Ahmad Sayyafzadeh 55, and Abbas Mohri, 52.
The last years more commanders of IRGC died.

Iran launched a satellite broadcast aimed at Spanish speakers worldwide, the name is HispanTV.
Since last year there were test-broadcasts.
Iran has already Arabic, Turkish, French and Urdu satellitebroadcasts. Also PressTV had a London office till January.

More then 2000 people mensen of Iran’s film community undersigned a petition against the Iranian government’s decision to ban the House of Cinema,.
Website Kaleme published the petition. Among the signatories are Majid Majidi, Kamal Tabrizi, Manouchehr Mohammadi, Ebrahim Hatami-Kia, Niki Karimi, Leila Hatami, Parviz Parastooei, Atila Pesyani and Shahab Hosseini.

Last week an EU economic advisor said the Islamic republic still has several billions in Euros stashed in banks in Europe.
Farsnews reported that Iran had withdrawn all of its money from European banks.
According to the advisor Iran has funds deposited in accounts in Germany, Italy, Malta, Spain, Greece and Switzerland.

In the prison of Semnan were January 29 two people hanged.
The men, M. J.,49 and H. A. 47 were convicted for carrying respectively 1100 grams of heroin and 6180 grams of heroin.
The charges not have been confirmed by an independent source.

The website of Human Rights and Democracy has reported that last week the Kurd Esmail Kermanjani, appr. 30 year-old is hanged in Evinprison.
He was already 6 years in prison.
The website reports that during the past few days, a number of other prisoners have also been executed in Evin prison.

The Supreme Court confirmed the deathsentence of the Kurds Zanyar Moradi and Loghman Moradi.
In December 2010 they were sentenced to death for the charge of moharebeh (enmity with God) and the murder of the son of Marivan’s Friday Imam.
The International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran reports that this was reported by prison authorities to the prisoners. Their lawyer was also surprised and said that he will be traveling to Tehran to follow up the case at the Supreme Court.

In a Friday on opposition websites published letter which was written by Ahmad Sadr Haj-Seyed Javadi 7 months ago to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, he asks for an end to the house arrest of opposition leaders Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karroubi, as well as the impeachment of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for misconduct as president.

Iran: more

January 28th was in the prison of Ilam a man hanged.
According to ISNA the man was convicted for murder and he once escaped from the prison by blowing the prison wall.

Reports to the ACLJ say that Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani is still alive, but he is under great pressure of the Chief Justice of the Gilan Provincial Court to convert to islam.
Nadarkhani insists that he is a christian and has never been a moslim.
He was sentenced to death in June 2011 for apostacy.

Blogger and humanrights activist Hossein Ronaghi Maleki has been transferred back to prison from the hospital. He had undergone surgery.
During the past year he had undergone 5x surgeries after a kidneytransplant.
HRHI says that he was taken back to prison despite the fact that it is imperative for him to receive continued medical care outside prison walls.

Journalist Hassan Fathi who was arrested November 13th, at his house, is not allowed visitors and is according to his wife in solitary confinement.
He is charged with spreading lies and disturbing public opinion after he had an interview with BBC Persian regarding the explosion at an IRG ammunition depot that killed 17 Revolutionary Guards.

Syrian rebels rebels say they are holding 7 Iranians hostage and will not release them until the government frees a rebel army officer and stops military operations in Homs.
As proof they showed a video which shows the seven Iranians, unshaven and wearing black shirts.

Website Advar reported that January 22 Abdollah Momeni was taken to the infirmery of Evinprison with severe stomachpains. He refused to stay because he was assaulted and abused by the staff.
Other prisoners say that after some hours he was transferred back to the infirmary due to severe stomach pains.No one has seen or heard from him since then, suggesting that he might have been transferred to a different location.
His family is very concerned, because he had a short telephonecall with them, before.

Iranian border guards have reportedly shot dead six Pakistanis and wounded two others after they strayed across Iran’s border.

The head of Justice in Bushehr announced that the perpetrators of the incident in the town of Abpakhsh will be publicly hanged.
The Public Relations Office of the Bushehr Judiciary said that the case is pursued by the court in Bushehr and were they sentenced to public hanging which sentence is confirmed by the Supreme Court.

According to reports in Gohardashtprison inhumane pressure on political prisoners have increased.The reduction of food worsens.
The dinner was one egg, one potatoes and one piece of bread. This has been replaced by 15g halva and a small, thin piece of factory bread .
The quantity of all other meals given to prisoners has been lowered as well.
The head of Gohardasht Prison said that if sanctions were increased, the first people that would have to pay were political prisoners.

January 21 security agents forced the door to the house of Bahai author and poet Enayatollah Sanai and searched the place. They took prayerbooks, cd's and cassettes.
Sanai was not at home and could not be arrested.

Human Rights House of Iran reports that interrogators of the cyber intelligence unit of IRGC gave an ultimatum at Saeed Malekpour to make a televised confession, in exchange for being transferred to Evin’s public ward and avoiding execution. Malekpour is sentenced to death for having a website with adult content.
He is already 3 years in jail.

The Observatory for the Protection of Human Rights Defenders received information from Iranian League for the Defence of Human Rights (LDDHI) that Dr. Mohammad Maleki the founder of the Iranian Association for the Defence of Liberty and Human Rights (IADLHR),is summoned to serve a prisonsentence of one year.
The organization makes an Urgent Appeal to write to Iranian government and Iranian diplomats.

The International Campaign for Humanrights in Iran reports that in appeal the deathsentence for Javad Lari was overturned and sent back to the lower court.
His lawyer mr. Manijeh Mohammadi, told that that there is no evidence of moharabeh (enmity with God), her client’s charge that led to execution, and that he is innocent.

Ahmed Jannati, the head of Iranian Guardian Council is in Iran the principal butt of jokes.
Jannati, who is in his mid- eighties, is already 30 years one of the keyrolefigures in Iran.
He is one of the hardliners and since he is Chairman of the Guardian Council he played an an active role in banning any attempt at political reform and disqualifying reformist and liberal election candidates.

New gouvernment rules say that all new employees have to present permits showing that they have gone through Quran lessons in addition to the anticipated lessons.
Employees who not have such a permit, have to go through Quran fluency lessons and then go to work.

ISNA wrote that a prosecutor in Malayer said that since beginning of this Iranian calendaryear, 372 people have been sentenced in court for illegal watching of satellite-tv.

January 22 Project-Based Labor Force Council” announced in a statement that they changed the name in Project-Based Labor Force Union and pledges to organize engineers, technicians, and skilled as well as unskilled technical workers involved in industrial/oil related activities.

The prosecutor of Kerman said that the judiciary had ‘established a special branch in the Kerman Province, like in other regions and was determined to deal decisively with all internet crimes in all areas.
They also will watch that no propaganda is made for a specific candidate or group in upcoming elections and more sensibly examining the news and media.

According to the website Chamron is activist Yaser Yousefzadeh arrested in the house of his father by security agents. The agents refused to show any identification and attacked Yousefzadeh’s father and sister with pepper spray.
When he came to help them he was beaten severely.
He was taken to his own house where agents inspected the place and confiscated his personal belongings.

Last week arrested journalists and bloggers Parastoo Dokouhaki and Marzieh Rasouli, are being kept in solitary cells at Tehran’s Evin prison.
Reports say they are being kept in the so-called ‘Ward AA’ (do Alef).
This ward is not under the jurisdiction or supervision of the Iranian Prisons Organizations, and is illegally run by the Intelligence Department of the IRGC.

The International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran said that The World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC), a body of UN, should take decisive steps to stop Iran from censoring and illegally systematically jamming of satellite signals.
Existing ITUrules forbid any member states from interfering and jamming satellite signals.
According to the spokesman of The International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran the Conference of this year is facing a serious challenge in the Iranian government’s breach of international telecommunications standards.

In Iran were 8 people sentenced to prison because they held discussions and criticized Islam and religion in an internet social network.
After their arrest they were tortured.
Dr. Kamran Ayazi, a dentist frome Shiraz, is sentenced to 9 years in prison on charges of enmity with god.
Dr. Ladan Mostavafi is sentenced to 5 years in prison, Hanieh Sane, sentenced to 7 years in prison, Hojatollah Nikouyi, five years in prison, Mohammad-Reza Pounaki, six years in prison, Mohammad-Reza Akhlaqi, seven years in prison, Sepehr Ibrahimi, eight years in prison and Amir Latifi was sentenced to seven years in prison.

In Ahwaz, province Khuzestan were in recent days 10 Iranian Sunni Arabs arrested.
They were transferred to an unknown location.




According to reports, the physical torture and sexual abuse of prisoners in cellblock 1 in Gohardasht Prison in Karaj is ongoing.
January 16th Mohsen Marzban who was transferred from cellblock 6 to cellblock 1 protested against this violent treatment.
Prison agents then pulled him out of his solitary cell, and heavily abused him.

Iran: punishment

British media regulator Ofcom revoked the license of Press TV to broadcast in Great Brittain.
Ofcom Ofcom said editorial control of Press TV was exercised from Tehran rather than London and that the broadcaster had failed to amend its license accordingly.
It also said that Press TV had not paid a $154,700 fine imposed after the channel aired an interview with the imprisoned journalist Maziar Bahari that had been conducted under constraint.

Iranian police plans to close down the sale of Barbie Dolls in Iran.
Mehrnew reports that until now, tens of shops selling Barbie dolls have already been shut down .
In the eyes of the police, stores that sell these dolls are lawbreakers and will be dealt with accordingly. He said the plan to rid Iran’s cities of Barbie dolls was part of a campaign to combat “western symbols and promoters of wantonness.

Thursday ISNA reported that the Commander of Iran’s Quds Force Qasem Soleimani said that Iran one way or another, controls Iraq and Southern Lebanon and that Tehran is capable of influencing the advent of Islamist governments in order to fight “arrogant” powers.
He said this at a student symposium titled “The Youth and Islamic Awareness.”
Soleimani is seen as the most powerful man in Iraq.

Six members of the Baha’i Institute for Higher Education were sentenced to high prisonterms.
Human Rights Reporters Committee reports that the sentences have been approved by the appellate court.
Kamran Mortezai is sentenced to 5 years in prison and Riaz Sobhani, Ramin Zibai, Fardah Sedghi, Mahmoud Badavam and Noshin Khadem are each sentenced to four years in prison.

Iran says that information of the International Atomic Energy Agency, has been used in the murder on the nuclear scientist last week.January 11th was Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan in Tehran assassinated after a magnetic bomb clinging to the door of his car exploded.
According to Irans Deputy UN ambassador there is a "high suspicion" that information via the IAEE was used to commit the murder.

For years graves and cemetaries of Bahai in Iran get destroyed.
In december 2011 authorities raided in Sanandaj 12 houses of Bahai and confiscated books, computers, cd's and other belongings. It looks like the fate of the cemetery has already been decided.
