Iran: causes

Newsagency Fars reported Tuesday that a man is hanged in public in the city of Qom.
The man, 49, was convicted for rape.





In northeastern Iran,near the city of Mashhad has Monday a military plane crashed.
The pilot ejected from the crash and was unharmed.
IRNA reported that the case is under investigations.





State television said that at a roadaccident on the road between Daihook and Ravar, 10 people are killed.
Two people were injured in the crash.
In the last five years traffic caused some 100,000 road-accident deaths.
This is the equivalent of three deaths an hour.



A pipeline explosion late Sunday in Turkey near the town of Dogubayazit in Agri Province forced authorities to cut the gas flow from Iran to Turkey.
The cause of the explosion is still unknown and the pipelinecompany Botas,
did not say how long the repairs would last.



Next week President Ahmadinejad is set to appear on a TV program on the eve of his trip to New York, to answer questions of Iranian expats in the USA.
During the show Ahmadinejd will explain the performance of the ninth government and will answer questions.
He will do this in the Kankash Show on Iran's Jaam-e-Jam satellite television network.
