Iran: level

The inflation rate in Iran's urban areas increased to 15.4 percent in this month.
The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) announced in a report that the inflation rate in Mordad (July 23-August 22) rose by 0.6 percent compared to its previous month and 17.3 percent in comparison to the corresponding month last year.
According to the report, Iran's inflation rate had increased by 15.4 percent in the 12 months before Mordad, when compared with the corresponding period in the year previous to that.
The above rates were calculated based on the price of 359 goods and services in urban areas throughout the country.


The Ministry of Saudi Arabia has lifted the ban to import sheep, goat, cow and camel from Iranian cities Shiraz, Mashhad, Hamadan, Tehran, Qazvin and West Azerbaijan.
They only will be used in abattoirs NOT for breeding.
The animals have to be quarantined in special places for 15 to 21 days prior to the movement to Arabia and have to be vaccinated against Foot-and-Mouth disease.


Seven members of Iran’s armed forces have been killed Thursday in clashes with members of the Party of Free Life of Kurdistan (PEJAK) in Kermanshah.
Two rebels were wounded in the incident and were taken to a hospitall.
Three days ago, one police officer and two soldiers killed in clashes in Marivan were buried in Kermanshah.
