In the town of Mahan, Kerman province, are Wednesday 7 men hanged in public.
Newsagency Fars reported that the men, Ali Orang, Davoud Talebi, Majid Barzekar, Majid Man’ami, Mohammad Bameri, Amr Bameri, and Mehdi Pour-Sheikh-Ali were convicted for trouble-making and armed drug trafficking.
On Friday, the chief of state security forces in Mahan was killed by “trouble-makers”.
ISNA reported that in Hormuzgan province a man is hanged.
The man, M. Kh. stabbed his mother, sister and nephew to death and then decapitated them.
In Mashhad, Razavi Khorasan province, were Tuesday the hands of four men chopped off as punishment for robbery.
According to ISNA the men were only identified by their initials E. K., H. F., M. D., and Q. R.
The men had been charged with repeated robbery. Each had one hand amputated.
The managing director of Kish Free Zone Organization (KFZO) announced Tuesday that 1,660 domestic and foreign companies were registered on Kish Island within the past two years for trade, economic, and commercial activities.
Among those are several oil companies and 52 domestic and two foreign banks.
Kish freezone is an island in the Persian Gulf, measuring about 92 square kilometers and is located 18km off southern coasts of the mainland Iran and is a part of southern Hormuzgan Province.
About eight centuries ago, it was a well-known trade center and commercial activities were made between Iran, China, Africa, and Europe from the ports of this small island.
Wednesday, the Tehran stock exchange has broken its record for the highest ever transaction.
Twenty percent of shares in National Iranian Copper Industries are sold for $1,1 billion.
The purchaser was a consortium made up mainly of state companies, including the pension funds of the steel industry and state broadcasting.
The whole transaction took seven minutes.
Although the shares have been sold as part of the government's ongoing privatisation programme, the fact the purchasers are themselves state entities casts doubt on whether this can be termed a real privatisation.
Next week another 20 percent of the company goes on sale.
