A large number of prisoners are pardoned by the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei as Iran celebrates the 29th anniversary of its Islamic Revolution.
Up to 4,893 convicts were granted pardon or commutation of their sentences.



Iran is planning to privatize some 47 oil and gas companies amounting to $90 billion.
Foreign investments in its energy sector are targeted by creating a holding company that would manage the state-run energy firms as well as the listing of its shares in the Tehran Stock Exchange and four international bourses.
Among the firms included in the privatization plan are National Iranian Oil Co.(NIOC) subsidiaries Petropars, Petroiran Development Company and North Drilling Company.



After a disappearance of three weeks, Sunnite cleric of Ghaba mosque in the Kurdish town of Sanandaj Ayub Ganji was “found” last Friday.
He was dropped off an unidentified vehicle in front of a mosque and collapsed immediately.
Visitors from the mosque transferred him to a hospital with signs of torture, beating and injections appeared on different parts of his body.
He was hallucinating and amnesia, his ‎condition was so bad that he could not even recognize his own wife and child.
