A large number of prisoners are pardoned by the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei as Iran celebrates the 29th anniversary of its Islamic Revolution.
Up to 4,893 convicts were granted pardon or commutation of their sentences.
Iran is planning to privatize some 47 oil and gas companies amounting to $90 billion.
Foreign investments in its energy sector are targeted by creating a holding company that would manage the state-run energy firms as well as the listing of its shares in the Tehran Stock Exchange and four international bourses.

After a disappearance of three weeks, Sunnite cleric of Ghaba mosque in the Kurdish town of Sanandaj Ayub Ganji was “found” last Friday.
