ISNA reported that a former policecommander appeared in court after his arrest reportedly on suspicion of a morality-related crime. Sunday he appeared for the 76th branch of the Tehran court.
The judicial spokesman confirmed last week that a high-ranking police-officer was arrested.
It is said that a very high-ranking Iranian official had instructed judiciary chief Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi to treat the former police commander like any other criminal.
The name of the police-commander was not reveiled, but last week it was reported that Reza Zarei stepped down as a police-commander in Tehran.
He was the main architect for the "moral crackdown"in Tehran, especially focused on "bad hijab", not good worn headscarves and too tight manteaus or trousers for women.
It is said that Zarei was arrested in a brothel, together with 6 nude prostitutes.

The reasons for the shutdown are unclear.
They do not deal with politics, focusing on light lifestyle features, family advice, and news of celebrities.
One of the closed magazines is closed down for "using photos of artists, especially foreign corrupt film stars, as instruments (to arouse desire), propagating medicines without authorization, promoting superstitions."
The editor of Sobh-e-Zendegi told the press that 70 people have lost their jobs. He also said that he received the closure order from the Culture Ministry on Sunday, but it was dated March 10.
He suspected authorities waited to implement the order until after Friday's parliament elections.
