Iran: wrong

Only 60 members of the Principalists bloc in Iranian parliament voted in favor of president Ahmadinejads nominee for Interior Minister, over 80 voted against him.
This means that Sadeq Mahsouli Wednesday not automatically obtains a twothird majority of the votes in parliament.
It is not expected that Mahsouli gets the support he needs from the minorityfaction to take the post.

The Deputy Head of Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts, and Tourism Organization has resigned after a controversial Milad Tower ceremony.
At this ceremony a dozen girls clad in traditional clothes danced as they brought the Quran on a tray.
All official ceremonies in Iran start with a recitation of excerpts from the Koran, but the fact that the book was carried by dancing girls went down badly with many influential figures.
Although he in a letter to ICHHTO chief, Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei, said the 'Qur'an carrying' is a traditional ceremony held in western parts of the country and the "Quan Carriers" are a religious group, this did not end the storm.
The head of the conservative "Koran group" asked president Ahmadinejad to sack Mashaei..

The Iranian National Police Chief said that Iran discovers 3 tons of drugs daily. He said drug production is on the rise in Afghanistan and is currently two times more than demand.
He said also that reports say that more than eight million Afghans will suffer an unprecedented famine this year and this will surely let smugglers to abuse this.
Iran will as neighbor of the biggest drug producer in the world, make large financial and human efforts to combat drug trafficking.
Unfortunately most countries in this region do not have the high-tech equipment required to control borders and check out cargos.
