Iran: overture

Fars newsagency and Tabnaks website report that Irans Law Enforcement Force(LEF)announced that they arrested eight women of Bahai'faith on the island Kish.
They are accused of proselytizing the Baha’i Faith, including distribution of Baha’i books, and using their “sexual charms to lure young Muslims”.
The spokesman of the LEF on the island Kish says that all eight women are residents of Tehran and have been arrested in Kish shopping malls.
Thursday it was also announced that LEF searched ten houses of Baha'i in Tehran and arrested five Baha'i.
Also the house of the last week arrested Zhinus Sahabi,secretary of the closed-down offices of the Center for the Defense of Human Rights and Mine Clearing Collaboration Campaign, was searched. Both Centers belong to Shirin Ebadi.
Human Rightsactivists in Kerman also reported the expulsion of nine Baha’i students from the University of Kerman.



There are new charges made in the trial of AIDSdoctors Arash and Kamiar Alaei.Since June 2008 they are imprisoned. December 31st there was a secret trial and a verdict was expected last week, but in the last moment new unknown secret charges were added.
Two weeks after the secret trial it was known that the new charges were that they were seeking to overthrow the Iranian government.
Also multiple arrests were made.


In Iran there are childoffenders, still on death row.

Children are being hanged to death.
