Iran: investigated


Six people were hanged in Karounprison of Ahwas last week.
October 6th, Fouzieh J (female), Khadijeh J. (female) en Abdollah J (man), convicted of drugstrafficking and Karim A. (man), convicted of murder, were executed.
October 8th, Oday B. and Sa’ad B. were hanged for keeping drugs.

Human Rights Activists in Iran wrote a report based on the charges and backgrounds of the cases against protestors against the election in Iran, which defendants have been sentenced to death.
In the first showtrial there were 11 defendants, of which 5 are sentenced to death.
All individuals were charged of being involved in post-election violence.
During the trial, 3 of the accused made self incriminating confessions.
The HRA has concluded that contrary to government claims, essentially none of the aforementioned individuals had any ties with the violent incidents and post-election events.

Totally 11 people are charged in two cases in relation to Anjoman Padeshahi Iran (API), a banned monarchist organization.
All are accused of waging war against god and are detained.
The first 9 defendants are:

1. Mohammad Reza Ali-Zamani,accused of waging war against god, sentenced to death,
2. Ahmad Karimi, 1979, from Islamshahr, accused of waging war against god ,
3. Hamed Rouhinejad, 1985, student, Tehran, accused of waging war against god, sentenced to death,
4. Majid Alii, 21, Islamshahr, accused of hostility,
5. Arash Rahmanpour, 1989, Tehran, accused of waging war against god, sentenced to death,
6. Peyman Arefi, married, 1983, Tehran, accused of waging war against god,
7. Naser Barzegar, 24, student Management Saveh University, Islamshahr, accused of waging war against god,
8. Davoud Fard-Bache MirAdabili, 1973, Islamshahr, accused of waging war against god, sentenced to death (information via Twitter)
9. Saam , Shahriar, accused of waging war against god.
The second API-case has three defendants whose identities have not been revealed.
They all are accused of waging war against god.
The defendants were arrested before the election.
They were arrested before election.The end of their interrogations and the beginning of the post-election protests coincided.
In an effort to attribute the unrest to foreign elements and armed groups, and in the absence of credible evidence, the intelligence apparatus then coerced the accused into making false confessions in return for their freedom.
Of the nine people, Ali-Zamani and Rahmanpour agreed.They were joined by Naser Abdolhosseini who was accused of having ties to the Mojahedin-e-Khalgh Organization.
The 9 men never were in contact with API.
