The execution of Abbas Hosseini which was scheduled for October 5th, is postponed.
No further details were provided.
According to Amnesty International the repeated halting at the last minute of his scheduled executions, do nothing except compound his suffering, and that of his family.
A new date for the execution is not set.

Amnesty International said in a statement that she deplores the decision to ban prominent lawyer Abdolfattah Soltani to leave the country.
She said that the actions of Iran's authorities are a breach of the right to freedom of movement, as guaranteed in international law.

Mohammad Mostafaie, defenselawyer of many children who are sentenced to death wrote a letter to the head of judiciary Sadegh Larijani in which he asked for a stay of execution.
He is defenselawyer for convicted 36 children, of which 8 escaped the death sentence and were returned to society.
Unfortunately, three of them, Behnam Zareh, Delaram Darabi en Sayed Mohammad Hejazi were hanged in Shiraz, Rasht en Isfahan.
Currently he is lawyer of Behnoud Shjaie and Safar Angouti, whose cases are in the hands of the criminal tribunal of Tehran, Mohammad Reza Haddadi, Mohammad Jahedi, Rahim Ahmadi Kamalabadi and Amir Amrolehai, with cases handled by the criminal tribunal of Shiraz, Bahman Soleimani in Isfahan and Abbas Hosseini in Mashhad.

The children’s rights unit of HRA has sent letters to the judicial authorities demanding a stay of execution of convicted juveniles in Iran.

The prisonsentence of human rights activist Jafar Eghdami is increased from 5 to 10 years prisonsentence.
In 2008 Eghdami was arrested on his way to Khavaran-cemetary.
In May 2009 he was sentenced to 5 years in prison.In appeal it was this week increased to 10 years.
No new evidence was introduced during the hearing and judge Moghisaee reopened an older case for which Eghadam served 6 yyears already.
He had been found guilty in the past of having ties to anti regime groups.

The Prisoners Committee of Human Rights Activists in Iran reports that in the prison of Urmia, Amir Abdollahnejad has been beaten so hard last week by prisonguards under the order and presence of Akbar Pishehvar,that he had spinal cord injuries.
Because he was left without medical assistance he died October 3rd.

Reformist newspapers Farhang-e Ashti and Arman in Tehran, and Tahlil-e Rooz in Shiraz, who are critical of Ahmadinejad, are banned by Iranian media-authorities.
Since the presidential elections in June are especially newspapers who are critisizing president Ahmadinejad, targeted by authorities.
