Iranian government wants to open a bankaccount for 36 million people to compensate them with cash for higher food and energy prices when subsidies stop.
Business newspaper Sarmayeh writes cash compensation can mount to $17 a perso, and that 70% of the population including children, would be covered.
They also wrote that a family of four with a monthly income of about $400 would receive $68, but that this would only cover the expected increase in gas and electricity prices.
