Iran: investigate

Irans navy has November 25th arrested a yacht with a crew of five in the Persian Gulf.
The yacht was on its way from Bahrain to Dubai to attend a race.
Supposedly they were drifted in Iranian waters because of propellorproblems and lack of wind.
The crew Luke Porter, Oliver Smith, David Bloomer, Oliver Young and Sam Usher is transported to Iran.
The 360-nautical mile Dubai-Muscat Offshore Sailing Race started November 26 and ended two days later in the harbour of the capital of Oman, Bandar Al-Rawdah.

November 9th received womansrightslawyer Shadi Shadr the Dutch Tulip Award for her defense of human rights in Iran.
In her acceptancespeech she wrote: : "As long as the issue of human rights is not raised at least in a parallel way to the nuclear issue at all levels of political and economic negotiations with the Iranian government, and sanctions and other possible guarantees of action do not include both areas, one cannot accept that some real effort has been made to stop the violation of the rights of Iranian citizens".

The journalist Hengameh Shahidi, is sentenced to six years and three months in prison. She was charged with activity against national security," "propaganda against the system" and "making offensive remarks about the president."
Her lawyer, Mohammad Mostafayi said that the charges are unfounded, the "confessions" were obtained while his client was "under duress and psychological pressure," and he will appeal the sentence.
The reformist journalist Fayyaz Zahed was released on a $100,000 bail.
Zahed, member of Etemad-e Melli party was arrested September 15.

IPressTV reports that the Tehran Prosecutor says that Ramin Pourandarjani, the doctor of Kahrizakprison, died by poison and the case is under further investigation.
Abbas Jafari-Dolatabadi said that at this moment evidence shows that he died of drug poisoning, but traces of pills were found near his salad.
The investigation will continue to determine if the doctor was murdered or had committed suicide.
