Iran: speaking of

February 23 has Iran arrested the leader of a rebelgroup Abdel malek Rigi.
Rigi is the leader of Jundullah, a militant group, who claims to defend the rights of the minority Sunni islamites and the Baluchi minority in Sistan-e-Balochistan province.
Past years various assaults and attacks were committed by Jundullah.
PressTV reported that Rigi is arrested on a flight from Dubai to Kyrgyzstan.

Channel4 has transcripted the interview with a former member of the Bassij about the violations last year against imprisoned protestors.

The blog Pedestrian refers to a video, with footage made by a member of the security of the violent attack on the university dorms last year.
The video is graphic.


Mehdi Karroubi made a call to the authorities to grant permission to organize a rally "based on the article 27 of the Constitution in one of the squares of Tehran so that we can see the minority and the majority".
The second suggestion is organising a referendum based on the article 59 of the Constitution to solve this crisis and end the reign of the Guardian Council.

Human Rights Watch said February 23 that the Iranian government has to stop the persecution and arbitrarily detaining members of the Baha'i community.
February 10 and 11 are 13 Bahais arrested and in January were also 13 members arrested.
Since October are in Tehran, Mashhad, Sari, Semnan, Yazd, 47 Bahai's arrested.
The trial of the May 2009 arrested seven Bahaileaders has been postponed to April 10.
The names of the 11 February arrested Bahais:
Taraneh Ghanouni, Naghmeh Ghanouni, Shaida Yousefi, Aria Shadmehr, and Riaz Firouzmandi.
February 10 were arrested: Alaeddin Khanjani, Ashkan Bassari, Maria Ehsan Jafar, Bashir Ehsani, Romina Zabihiyan, Houtan Sistani, Simin Ghaffari, and Pedram Sanaei.
January 3: Mehran Rowhani, Farid Rowhani, Babak Mobasher, Leva Mobasher Khanjani, Payam Fanaian, Jinous Ghazanfari Sobhani, Artin Ghazanfari, Nikav Hoveydaei, Ebrahim Shadmehr, Zavosh Shadmehr, Negar Sabet, Mona Hoveydaei Misaghi, and Nasim Beiglari.
Negar Sabet, Mona Misaghi, and Nasim Beiglari were released Januari 3, but Mona Misaghi is on 10 february arrested again.
The seven Bahaileaders are: Fariba Kamalabadi, Jamaloddin Khanjani, Afif Naeimi, Saeid Rezaie, Mahvash Sabet, Behrouz Tavakkoli, and Vahid Tizfahm.
