Since 21 days Alireza Firoozi and Sourena Hashemi, two students from Tehran,are missing.
Since they left to visit Tabriz, nothing is heard from them, although the GPS-track from Alireza Firoozi's mobile phone indicates he is in Tehran.
His family has applied to all courts, public prosecutor offices, military and security organisations in Tehran but as yet no one has provided any official information about the missing students.

The wife, son and daughter from Saeed Pourazizi, chief editor of the banned Bahar paper, were all three wounded during the Ashuraprotests.
The son had a serious headinjury which needed surgery. After that he was arrested.
The mother and sister were also arrested. The doctor who gave medical assistance is arrested also.

Website Alef reports that the Iranian Interior Ministry evaded 12 questions regarding the 2009 presidential election. The Ministry of Interior was asked to respond to the inquiries through one of their election officials who would act as a “special online guest”on Alef’s website.

January 12th, 2010 is photographer Mehraneh Atashi, along with her husband Madjid Ghaffari, arrested.
International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran reports that they are detained in isolation in ward 209 of Evinprison. They have had no access to a lawyer and they have been allowed no visit by their family. They were allowed to one brief telephone call they used to inform relatives they had been arrested.

Currently are 16 people on trial of which five people are in danger of being sentenced to death for being charged with moharebe (enmity with god).
The others are among other things charged for conspiracy to commit crimes against national security and propaganda against the state.
The names of the 16 defendants were not released.
The defendants:

-defendant 1: commit crimes against national security, insulting top officials and propaganda against the state through extensive soft war activities against the state,

-defendant 2: commit crimes against national security and propaganda against the state through membership in the counter revolutionary branch of the student organization Office to Foster Unity (Daftar-e Tahkim Vahdat),

-defendant 3: neo-communist sympathies and commit crimes against national security and propaganda against the state by participating in protests on Ashura and interviewing with foreign media,

-defendant 4: propaganda against the state through membership in the Baha’i religion and assembly and conspiracy to commit crimes against the state through participation in the riots following the orders of Baha’i leaders,

-defendant 5: charged as Mohareb through communications with the terrorist hypocrites’ organization (Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization),

-defendant 6: charged as Mohareb and Corruptor of the Earth (Mofsed fel-Arz), assembly and conspiracy to commit crimes against national security and propaganda against the state,

-defendant 7: charged as Mohareb through communicating, sympathizing, and cooperating with the terrorist hypocrites group (Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization) and propaganda against the state,

-defendants 8 and 9: charged as Mohareb and Corruptor of the Earth (Mofsed fel-Arz),

-defendant 10: commit crimes against national security, propaganda against the state, insulting top government officials, and disobeying government agents,

-defendant 11: commit crimes against national security, committing arson against public property, and propaganda against the state,

-defendants 12, 13, 14 en 15: commit crimes against national security, and propaganda against the state by participating in Ashura protests,

- defendant 16: commit crimes against national security, propaganda against the state, insulting top government officials, participating in the destruction of public property, and disobeying government agents.
