Iran: further

March 10 reported newsagency Fars that in the city of Qom two men were hanged.
The men, Hamid Kh. and Zeinolabedin Gh. were convicted for drugstrafficking.
The report was not confirmed by independent sources.

After 60 days it was found out that January 3rd arrested Babak Mobasher is detained in Rajai Shahr prison.
His father is concerned about his son's chances of obtaining a lawyer, considering that lawyers who take on Baha’i clients are threatened and placed under pressure by the regime.
So far no lawyer has agreed to take on Babak’s case.

Saeed Hassanzadeh, a children’s rights activist who was is arrested January 1, 2010, was taken to the court on February 4, 2010 and a bail agreement was issued for him.
His family is still looking for a sponsor(guarantor) because of the fact his family has not been able to find someone to act as the sponsor.
Consequently, Saeed Hassanzadeh remains in prison.

The lawyer of the member Daftare Tahkim Vahdat Bahareh Hedayat has after 70 days, still not succeeded in registrating the file, although interrogations are finished.
The situation for other members of Daftare Vahdat has been alleviated, and they have been granted visitation.
According to her husband, Amin Ahmadian, is her family still not allowed to visit her and her file remains vague.The Tehran prosecutor, Jafar Dolatabadi has personally indicted Bahareh Hedayat on 16 charges.

It is almost a year ago that blogger and journalist Omid Reza Mir Sayafi died in prison and the OR318 movement is active involving raising awareness regarding not only Omid's death in an Iranian prison but also the risks bloggers take when they decide to write.

Tuesday, the three imprisoned Americans were allowed to call home for the first time.
Sarah Shourd, Shane Bauer and Josh Fattal, were arrested July 31 in Kurdistan province near the border with Iraq.

The quota for fishing for sturgeon will be determined in Tehran.
The meeting of representatives from the Caspian Sea countries will be in the end of March to determine quotas for sturgeon fishing.
This is necessary , because of the fact that the sturgeon(caviar) is almost extinct due to fishing and ecological problems.
Currently Kazakhstan has a quota of 20%, Russia 26%, Iran 44%, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan together have 10% of the total sturgeonfishing.
