Human Rights and Democracy Activists in Iran reported that Behrouz Javid Tehrani’ is on the 11th day of a hungerstrike. May 30 he was transfered to the infamous ward 1 of Gohardasht prison.
This hungerstrike is to protest the torture and inhumane conditions for  prisoners in Ward 1, also referred to as “dog house,” “the dark whole,” or “end of the road”.
The prisoners are given only enough food to stay alive and are allowed to use washroom facilities only three times a day.

The temperature in Karaj this time of the year is over 40 degrees.
The cell in which Javid Tehrani is detained in is located high above the ground and is thus more susceptible to heat.
