In the prison of Yazd is October 22 the hand of a man amputated.The man, M. (32) was convicted for robbery. His hand was amputated in front of the other prisoners convicted of robbery.
In the city of Sosangerd, province Khuzestan a man was lashed in public is on October 16.The man, H.B. was convicted of robbery.

The health of humanrightsactivist Mohammad Sadigh Kaboodvand is in a critical condition, because of acute cardiac distress, prostate and severe headaches. Considering an earlier heart attack and his blocked blood vessels, he is in grave danger. Prison clinic doctors reported him for treatment outside the prison, but instead he was prescribed strong sedatives that have created additional health problems and have caused him constant dizziness as well as a state lethargy.
Mohammad Sadigh Kaboodvand was arrested on July 1st, 2007 charged with establishing the “Kurdistan Human Rights Agency” and was sentenced to 11 years in prison. He is currently being held in ward 350 of Evin prison.

Humanrightslawyer Nasrin Sotoudeh still is denied visitation and any and all contact with her family. A month ago she went in hungerstrike.
She has been held in solitary confinement since September 4th at ward 209 of Evin prison and has been on hunger strike since September 25th.
Since then there has only been one short, 3 second, phone contact.

Afshin Baymani has been charged with ‘Association with opposition organizations’ and sentenced to life in prison.
October 3 he was transferred to solitary confinement under the orders of Kermani and Faraji, chairman and deputy of Department of Information of Gohardasht.
Since then he has been subjected to severe torture and has been banned from visiting his family and any phone contact.

The prisonsentence for Ashuradetainee Seyyed Navid Kamran has been uphold.He was sentenced by the 26th branch of the revolutionary court of judge Pirabbas to 33 months in prison and 75 lashes.
The charges were to commit crimes against national security, and disturbing the public order. During last year’s presidential elections, Kamran was an activist for the website of “Association of Mousavi Supporters.” The group’s name was later changed to the “Association of Green Movement Supporters.”
