Iran: torture

According to reports Iranian-Dutch Zahra Bahrami was taken to solitary confinement in ward 209 of Evinprison.
She refused to repeat the confessions she was tortured into making in a television show.
She also refused to force her daughter not to disclose the pressure and abuse and false accusations made against her mother.
The agents of the intelligence ministry have threatened that if she does not confess, she will be trialed for waging war with God and sentenced to death.

Securityagents killed Abdolrahim Kanbarzehi (Qanbarzehi), 25 in Iranshahr.
They stopped his car and violently pulled him out of his vehicle while beating him.When they did not succeed in arresting him because he kept embracing the beating officers, they shot him in the back.They refused to take him to hospital and banned others on the scene from taking him to the hospital.
After about 6 hours, Abdolrahim died on the scene in front of the security forces.

On the evening of October 16 was Ayatollah Kazemeyni Boroujerdi attacked by an official in Evinprison and severely beaten by a baton.
The attack was a response to Boroujerdi’s protests against the violations of prisoners’ basic human rights.
He wrote several letters to authorities including Mr. Ghadyani, the Special Clerical Prosecutor.
Evin prison officials claim that the special ward for clerics is directly under the control of the Ministry of Intelligence and Special Clerical Prosecutions Office.

The bahai Vahid Salim-Ighani and Mr. Ghaderi were detained October 16 by the Tonekabon Intelligence Ministry authorities. After interrogation they were transferred to the Sari Prison.

The Kurdish activists Harij Ebrahimi and Bakhtiar Memari are still held in the solitary confinement unit of the intelligence ministry in Sanandaj.
Ebrahimi suffers from kidney, gum and stomach problems is in critical condition.
Despite continuous asking of their families to the judicial and security organizations they had not any results and the authorities have failed to disclose the reason for their arrest or anything about their condition.
