Iran: demonstration

In the prison of Sari were February 14, 2 men hanged.
The men, who are not identified, were convicted for trafficking 8 kilos and 50 grams of opium.

The seven imprisoned Bahaileaders are transferred to more brutal sections of their prison complex.
The two women Mahvash Sabet and Farhida Kamalabadi were transferred to section 200 of Gohardashtprison.Fariba Kamalabadi has already been physically threatened by inmates.
The reasons for the transfer are unknown.
The representative of Baha'i International Community to the United Nations thinks that the reason is that they built up a good relationship with their fellowinmates.
The five men were transferred three weeks ago to a wing set aside for political prisoners, known as Section 4, which is more crowded and reportedly under close surveillance.

Amnesty International condemns the violent crackdown by authorities of the peaceful demonstration held in Iran,in the cities Tehran, Esfahan, Shiraz and Kermanshah in support of Egyptian and Tunisian protests.
The oppositionleaders Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karroubi were placed under house arrest by the authorities ahead of the protests on Monday.
At least one person was killed and several people were wounded.

Human Rights Watch urges Iran to stop attacks on peaceful demonstrators.



An eyewitnessreport of violence unleashed by forces, use of teargas, electric batons, shots fired, and finally getting hit by batons during the 14 February.
The International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran says that Iranian authorities must end immediately the excessive use of force against peaceful demonstrators.
