Iran: further

Mohammed Reza Sadeghi, a supporter of ayatolla Kazemeini-Boroujerdi, who was arrested December 8, is still in prison.
There is no information on his condition, reports indicate that he has endured torture in the recent days.

The Bahai Nima Haghar is sentenced to 5 years in prison.
After his arrest in February of 2008 and one month of interrogation and solitary confinement he was released on bail.

Ali Jamali, the head of the political unit of the Office for Consolidating Unity, who is sentenced to 4 years in prison for anti-regime propaganda, gathering and conspiracy to disturb internal security, insulting the Supreme Leader and insulting the President is deprived of furlough and face to face prison visits.

In an interview with International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran, Shirin Ebadi (photo l) said that if according to normal diplomatic protocols, the Dutch Ambassador had been allowed to visit with
Zahra Bahrami (photo r)and if the attorneys selected by the Dutch government had been allowed to review her case, many facts would have become clear for sure.
Ebadi also said thst the execution was carried out even in direct violation of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s own laws.
