Human Rights and Democracy Activists in Iran reports that May 24 a man was hanged in Gohardasht prison.
Sadeq Heshmatian, 27 was hanged after 7 years in prison.
One of the reasons his death sentence was carried out was because he protested multiple times the dire prison conditions.

In Iranian parliament deputies have questioned President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad about the cause of an explosion at Abadan’s refinery.
The refinery at Abadan was not yet ready, but Ahmadinejad insisted on bringing it into operation.
The explosion caused several deaths and injured.

Officials in USA say that Iran increases the numbers of trainers and advisers — including members of its elite Quds Force — into Syria to help crush anti-government demonstrations.
The aid from Iran includes not only weapons and riot gear, but also sophisticated surveillance equipment believed to have led to the arrests of hundreds of Syrians.
