Iran: concerns

USA has concerns about the increasing religious persecution in Iran.
July 3 the Supreme Court upheld the deathsentence for pastor Youcef Nadarkhani, 32 . But later his lawyer told that the case was sent back to a lower court.
The spokeswoman for the American State Department said that Nadarkhani is one of thousands who face persecution for their religious beliefs in Iran.
Seven Bahaileader had been sentenced to prisonterms to 20 years and hundreds of Sufis had been flogged in public because of their beliefs.

The mother of Zahra Rahnavard who is under housearrest, along with her husband Hossein Mousavi is concerned about her daughters health.
At an interview with the website Kalemeh she told that both her daughter and son-in-law in the last meeting suddenly lost a lot of weight.
Authorities put opposition leaders Mir Hossein Musavi and Mehdi Karrubi and their wives under house arrest following their call for a opposition demonstration in February.
Rahnavard's mother has said that for the first three months, even their children hadn't been allowed to see them.
