Iran: sentencing

At least 2 Kurds and one member of the Iranian IRGC were killed Sunday during clashes on the Iraqi border.
The fights took place in the Banjaween area in the Iraqi Sulaimaniyah province.
According to IRNA were five PJAKmembers and one revolutionary guard killed.

Reporters without Borders reports that is exactly one year ago that students Iman Masjedi, Amir Latifi, Mohammad Reza Gholizadeh, Ladan Mostoufi Ma’ab, Hanieh Sate Farshi, Hojat Nikoui and Sepehr Ebrahimi were arrested.
They were charged with anti-government propaganda, “insulting what is holy,” actions against national security “in collaboration with organizations hostile to the Revolution,” insulting the Prophet and Moharebeh (rebelling against God). All these crimes are punishable by death.
April 16 were the charges of insulting the prophet and moharebeh withdrawn, but they were sentenced to heavy prisonterms.
Masjedi and Ebrahimi are sentenced to 8 years in prison, Gholizadeh and Farshi were sentenced to 7 years, Nikoui and Ma’ab were given 5 years in prison. Latifi is sentenced to 7 years in prison and 74 lashes.
