Iran: law

The trial against Shane Bauer and Josh Fattal was held July 31 in Tehran.
Their lawyer said that the judge will read the verdict within 7 days.
Despite his repeated written requests for meeting with his clients, he has never been allowed to meet with his clients in private, and he was unable to have private conversations with them during the four hours they spent in court.
Only PressTV was allowed to attend the Sunday court session.

A member of the Legal and Judicial Commission in Iranian parliament told Mehrnews that article 23 of the Family Support Bill, regarding remarriage was removed.
He said that since article 23 is removed, the Bill will be put on the scheme of the Majlis, but article 22 regarding temporary marriage is still included in the bill.
This article is a clear violation of women’s rights in Iran.

Azeri Pressagency writes that during an Art Festival in Tabriz on one of
the photo-exhibitions Azeri turk symbols were mocked by Iranians.
On a photo-exhibition anti-azeri and and antiturk caricatures have been demonstrated.
The event was supported by the Iranian ministry of culture.
