Since two weeks there is still no information about the
wherabouts of Kouhyar Goudarzi’
Although his mother said last week that he is being held in solitary confinement in ward 240 of Tehran’s Evin prison, there is no official news about his whereabouts and the reason for his arrest.
Iran Human Rights condemns the illegal arrest and abduction of Kouhyar Goudarzi and his mother Parvin Mokhtare.

The deathsentence of PHD literate in Persian language and literature and teacher in Varamin city, Abdul-Reza Ghanbari,is confirmed by the judiciary.
Ghanbari was arrested during the Ashurademonstrations in 2009 and sentenced to death in January on charges of filming the uprising scenes and sending them to satellite networks.
The confirmation of the sentence means that execution is imminent.

Mehr newsagency reports that the inflationrate has risen every month for the past year.
According to The Central Bank of Iran the inflation hit 16.3% year-on-year in the Iranian month of Tir, which ended July 22.
With the massive subsidy cuts, causing utility, fuel and food bills to rise, many Iranians, including prominent politicians and analysts, believe the real figure is much higher.
