The bahai Ava Tavakoli,of the city of Bandar Abbas and student at Hormozgan University is expelled after 4 semesters from university because of her faith.
This was verbally told her by the officials of the University Admission Organization.

Sunni cleric and Kurd Mamousta Mohammad Baraei who was arrested along with 7 students in 2009, spent 2 years in solitary confinement.
He is convicted to 11 years in prison and is detained in Rajaei Shahrprison. The Tehran prosecutor denied him furlough from prison.
