Iran: embezzlement

Jomhouri Islami daily reported that March 7 in Karaj a man was hanged in public.
The man, Amin Khazayi, son of Hamid-Reza was sentenced to death for the robbery and murder of a 23 year old woman in 2009.

The Iranian Minister of technology and communication has according to Fars newsagency accused the West to use the internet as a tool to spy and to spread corruption.
He also announced that Iran will start a "halal” internet, a network that will provide Iranians with a safe environment to surf the web as it will be “clean” of “immoral” sites.

Today is the second trial session in the big Iranian bankfraudtrial . 32 people are accused of the $2,8 billion fraud. Five people can be sentenced to death.
Seven state- and private Iranian banks are involved in the fraud case, in which documents were also forged.

The Iranian parliament approved a bill to allocate $18 billion to spent during the first two months of the next calendar year, which starts on March 20.
The administration is allowed to use this cashfund until next years budget is approved.
The proposed budget is approximately $416 billion.
