Iran: more June 7, 2012

80-year-old grandfather of imprisoned studentactivist Arash Sadeghi has been arrested. The website Kaleme reports that Shirollah Dargahi, 80, the grandfather of Arash Sadeghi,wednesdaynight was arrested and brought to an unknown location to be questioned.

According to Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), political Kurdish prisonerMohammad Mehdi Zalieh Naghshbandian died yesterday in Rajai Sharprison. He was transferred to hospital earlier this month for serious healthproblems. He was a victim of chemical warfare during the Iran-Iraq War. He was sentenced to a life in prison on charges of cooperating with a Kurdish group and was transferred to Rejai Shahr Prison after 18 years in Oroumiyeh Prison.

Blogger Hossein Ronaghi Maleki, who currently is in hospital has despite his critical situation, started a dry hungerstrike.
More then 10 days ago he started a hungerstrike to protest the violation of humanrights in prison. This week he was hospitalized.





Mohammad Sedigh Kaboudvand founder of the first humanrightsorganization in Kurdistan, has been in hungerstrike for almost 2 weeks and was transferred to the prisoninfirmery of Evinprison on June 4. There has been no information on his location since that date.
