Iran: regulation June 1, 2012

Dutch IND froze approximately 125 visa applications for Iranian students.
The spokesman of IND stated that it is because of new sanctions of European Commission and they are waiting for the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs to make the final decision.
Worried Iranian students sent messages to Persian Dutch Network and write that they are worried for their residency and studies.
IND says that they just follow the EU regulations.

Shadi Sadr wrote an article in Huffington Post about humanrights situations and the Iranian Bar Association who over the last few years are persecuted by the regime. First, they arrested the civil and political activists, then their lawyers. Then, they arrested the lawyers defending the imprisoned lawyers.
Now with no-one left to defend the civil and political activists, they took steps towards taking over the Bar Association.

June 12 are Afshin Ehsani and Farham Ma`sumi released from prison in Shiraz after serving their 10-months prisonsentence. June 13 were Bahai Nasrin Qadiri, Sima Rajabiyan and Kaviz Nuzdehi released from Vakilabadprison in Mashhad after serving their prisonsentence.
