Iran: many November 1st, 2012


HRANA News Agency reports that on October 28 eight prisoners were hanged in secret in Evinprison.
They were transferred from Gheselshahrprison. The report said they all were convicted on drugscharges and their names were not revealed.

In Evinprison started 9 female prisoners a hungerstrike to protest a recent attack on the female ward by Evin prison guards, leading to to the harassment and defamation of female political prisoners.
Their names are: Bahareh Hedayat, Nazanin Dihimi, Jila Baniyaghoub, Shiva Nazarahari, Mahsa Amrabadi, Hakimeh Shokri, Jila Karamzadeh Makvandi, Nasim Soltan Beygi and Raheleh Zakaii.
Kaleme writes that 20 female prisonguards took part in the raid on the female ward of Evinprison.

Securityagents arrested at least 50 people at a meeting in "Saraye Ahle Ghalam" (house of those working with pen/).
Kaleme website reports that the agents were masked and it is not yet clear if they had official arrest warrants from the judiciary.
Also arrested are dissident physician and blogger Mehdi Khazali and former MP Ghassem Sholeh Saadi.
Further are arrested Pejman Zafarmand,Mohammad Parsi, Mohammad Reza Ahadi,Ahmad farhadpour, Amir Borhani, Mehrdad mohammadi,Afshin Ghorbanejad,Mohammad Bagher Moradi ,Azar Taherabadi,Fatemeh Mahmoudi ,Zahra Khazali, Mohammad Saleh Khazali
They were transferred to an unknown location.

October 31 Petrochemical workers of Kimia Company in Bandar Imam went on strike. This strike is in protest against undelivered promises, like eradication of parasitic contractors.
The workers said that if the promises are not fulfilled, this strike would turn to a general strike by all Mahshahr Petrochemical workers.
