Iran: more November 10, 2012

The IHRDC received reports that indicate that Ahwaz Arab Jamil Sowaidi, 57 is tortured to death, after being arrested in his home by plainclothed agents.
Familiemembers got no information about his whereabouts. Two weeks ago, another plain clothes agent visited the Sowaidi household and informed the family that Jamil Sowaidi had died and discouraged them from continuing their search for him.

Maryam Sharbatadar, the wife of Faizollah Arab Sourkhi, a member of the Revolutionary Mujahidin, is summoned by the court as part of a campaign to put pressure on familymembers of political prisoners. The daughter of Arab Sourkhi was arrested and interrogated in isolation by the Revolutionary Guards and is currently in hospital.
