Iran: more November 5th 2012


The student at university of Isfahan Davar Hoseini-Vojdaan has been sentenced to six years in prison.
He was arrested in December 2011 and sat in solitary confinement in Ward 209 of Evin Prison. After 4 months, he was transferred to Ward 350.
Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court sentenced him on unknown charges..

Iranian state-tv reported that Iran opened a new naval base near Bandar-e Lengeh to reinforce its authority over three disputed Persian Gulf islands.
The islands,  Greater and Lesser Tunb and Abu Musa are situated on a strategic place at the Strait of Hormuz, and are also claimed by the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.).

The Iran Cinema Organization (ICO) plans to make regulations to control the hijab for Iranian actresses participating in international events.
In the past years Iranian websites published photos of Iranian actresses without the hijab.
