The Observatory for the Protection of Human Rights Defenders, a joint programme of the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) and World Organisation Against Torture (OMCT), ask action for imprisoned humanrights defendant Nasrin Sotoudeh.
She was finally allowed to receive a visit from her husband and children, in the presence of security officers.She weighs 43 kilos and continues her hunger strike to protest against the pressures inflicted against her children and husband.

In the Guardian is an article about how Iranian activists are punished for speaking out.
In 2010 activist Arash Sadeghi was temporarily released from Evinprison. In a few days security agents raided his home in the middle of the night causing his mother who was alone in the house with a daughter, to suffer a heartattack.She died within a few days.
Sadeghi told Roozonline that his family blamed him for her dead. After this he was imprisoned again and since then he has spent all but one month in jail. For the past 11 months, Sadeghi has been held in solitary confinement without access to a lawyer.

The journalist and Secretary General of Advar Tahkim Vahdat Alumni Association Ahmad Zeidabadi is after six months of severe illness and repeated requests by his family for medical treatment transferred to a hospital in Tehran.He has been cuffed to his bed.

The Bahai brothers Saman Badii Arani and Ashkan Hadii Arani from Karaj were arrested two weeks ago.

The member of Tehran Bus Drivers Union Reza Shahabi, who is serving a prisonsentence of 6 years was taken to a hospital where he underwent 6 hours surgery.
After this he was returned to prison.
