Iran: further December 28 2012

December 27 were 5 men hanged in public in "Mehrvarzi" parks of the city of Yasouj.
The not named men were convicted for rape.

In Dameghan was on December 27 an Afghan M.M. (27 ) hanged. The man was convicted of possession and trafficking of 1970 grams of crack.

Iran increases the pressure on the cleric Ayatollah Seyyed Sadeq Shirazi. Dozens of his followers and managers of a television network affiliated with him were arrested.
His representative in Mashhad, Sheykh Ja’far Ghafuri,was arrested along with his 7½ year-old son.

Iranian TV reported that Iranian navy Friday has begun maneuvers in the Strait of Hormuz.
These involve warships, submarines jet fighters and hovercrafts.
Iran has threatened to close the Straits of Hormuz before.

Fars reported that Azerbaijan released Anar Bayramli, reporter from IRIB, after 10 months in jail. He was sentenced to 12 months in prison.
The release following repeated requests by human rights organizations and activists and after Azeri President Ilham Aliyev signed a pardon. This pardon ordered the release for 87 convicts, including a number of political prisoners.


In Iran there are childoffenders, still on death row.

Children are being hanged to death.

A child will be hanged to death.
