Iran: dead and deprave

Saturday a hardline cleric has escaped an assassination attempt in Ahwaz city, Khuzestan province.
Samir Dorkavandi,was shot an wounded by gunmen while he was on his way to the mosque.He was shot in the shoulder and the stomach and is currently being treated in hospital.
The assassination attempt follows successful assassinations of hardline imam Sheikh Hesham Saimari, in June and a Revolutionary Guards commander, Mehdi Bayat, earlier this month.
Iranian government blames those responsible as Wahhabis (Sunni fundamentalists) and Monafeqin (hypocrites), a term used to refer to the Iraq-based Mujahideen-e-Khalq (MEK).

Iran sends 40 tons of drugs to fight cholera to Iraq.
The shipment includes 20 tons of hypochlorite calcium and 42,000 kilos of Ringer lactate serum, which entered Iraq across the Shalamcheh border and was handed to Iraqi health officials.
At least 2,116 people have been diagnosed with cholera in Iraq with eleven people dead as a result of the disease.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), it is estimated that more than 30,000 people have fallen ill with acute watery diarrhea, which may later be confirmed as cholera.
Iran's drug aid to Iraq is aimed at tackling the cholera outbreak and preventing the spread of the disease outside Iraq borders.

Pollution of Persian Gulf waters by an unidentified contaminant has caused the death of 70 dolphins in the coast of Jask.
First studies show that the dolphins were exposed to either chemical or petrochemical pollutants. Further studies are made by Tehran University.
In a similar incident 64 dolphins died in the region three years ago.
