Iran: deterrent

Mohammeddreza Haddadi has been sentenced to death for a murder, which he committed with 3 adults, on a cardriver, an old man.
He was 15-year-old at the time.
They beat the man and dragged his body to the trunk of the car. Later, Mohammedreza and one of the adults strangled the man.
Mohammedreza is now 18-year-old.
He confessed to the murder, because a substantial amount of money was promised to him by other men in return for his confession.
Later, he stated that he was lead to confession by the adults and he had nothing to do with the crime and was only accompanying them on that day.
He was sentenced to death, while the three adults were sentenced to long imprisonments.
Although the other men testified that Mohammadreza was innocent of the crime, his appeal was still denied.



According to National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) the daily Etemad reported that a man in Kermanshah was forced by State Security Forces (SSF) to wear a woman's dress and parading te streets.
Implementing the public security plan, one of Kermanshah's well-known hooligans, Gholam H. was paraded in the streets as a sign of public deterrent to other criminals.
Despite that he again mugged some local residents, got arrested and they confiscated a toy gun from him.

The Iraqi ambassador to Tehran says all Iranian pilgrims who have been detained in his country for illegal entry will soon be released.
Mehrnews reported that at the moment, no Iranian pilgrims are held in Iraqi prisons, and those who had been held have now been released.
Currently, a small number of Iranian pilgrims are held in border areas, but they too will be released in the near future.
The Iraqi Prime Minister has given the order for the release of all Iranian pilgrims (between 10 or 20 people)held in the country's prisons.
