Iran: (re)cognition

May 14 are six leaders of the Baha'i arrested in Tehran and transferred to Evinprison.
They are Mrs. Fariba Kamalabadi, Mr. Jamaloddin Khanjani, Mr. Afif Naeimi, Mr. Saeid Rezaie, Mr. Behrouz Tavakkoli and Mr. Vahid Tizfahm, all from Tehran.
Mrs. Kamalabadi, Mr. Khanjani, and Mr. Tavakkoli have been previously arrested and then released after periods ranging from five days to four months.
The reason for their arrest are most likely security charges.
The seventh member of the Bahai leadership group, Mrs. Mahvash Sabet, was arrested in early March in Mashhad.
The Baha'ifaith is outlawed in Iran and members of the BahaĆ-community are persecuted and not allowed to obtain public-sector employment or university scholarships.

The plan to impeach Iranian Minister of Commerce Massoud Mir-Kazemi is deterred while six parlementarians withdraw their signature.
The impeachment proces started because of excessive sugar imports that inflicted heavy losses on domestic farmers, a failure to enforce tariff rates for cell phones, sugar and rice imports, and 'flawed' commercial policies, which destabilized domestic market.
Last Wednesday, six of the 14 MPs decided to withdraw their signatures, so the motion was blocked.
A proposal for the impeachment of a minister must bear the signatures of at least 10 parlementarians.
Meanwhile, another group of 20 parlementarians put forward a second motion, and the impeachment of the commerce minister will take place next Wednesday.
