November 12-14 will ex-president Seyyed Mohammad Khatami of Iran attend the conference Global Forum on Leadership for Shared Societies: building a world safe for difference, organized by the Club van Madrid in Rotterdam.
The Club van Madrdid (CdM) , founded by ex governmental leaders from all over the world, is an independent organization, with 70 former leaders from 50 countries.
Except Khatami there will also be present: Mary Robinson (Ireland), Ricardo Lagos (Chili), en Wim Kok (Netherlands), Bill Clinton, Desmond Tutu and Surinam president Ronald Venetiaan will be subject to present.
The JtWnetwork, an organization of Iranian youth in The Netherlands, related to PMOI, condemns the visit of Khatami.
During his presidency in Iran (1997-2005), thousands of people were executed, imprisoned and tortured.
Khatami urged reformist groups in Iran to reach a consensus on the fundamental principles of the movement.
Saturday he advised the representatives of Mardom-Salari Party to be the real representatives of the people, so that people will give their support to them.
He also confirmed that he is contemplating running for president.
According to National Council of Resistance in Iran did 1500 people in Farahzad district of Tehran protest to the treatment of local peddlers.
The State Security Forces (SSF) attacked a group of peddlers during a raid and wounded them and destroyed their merchandise. Also they arrested a number of peddlers.
It is not the first time that peddlers in the area are attacked.
Often such small businesses are set up by jobless people, trying to make a living.
According to NCRI last month 250,000 people lost their jobs.
In Iran there are childoffenders, still on death row.
