Iran: national security

Three Bahai social activists were sentenced to two years imprisonment during a court session on November 18.
Zolaykha Mosavi, Rohieh Yazdani and Ali-Asgar Ravan-Bakhsh were found guilty with activities against national security by holding anti-Islamic classes.
They were training young children in proper social and family etiquette, upon approvals from their parents.
In Mazandaran province are 3 Bahai, Masoud Ataian, Soheila Motallebi, and Anvar Moslemiwere arrested by security agents.Their homes were searched and books, computers and documents were confiscated.After their arrest they were not allowed to contact
their family or their lawyer.
Within the past year four other Baha’is have been arrested in Mazandaran province.
Tarazollah Allahverdi and his wife Sonya Tebyanian were detained October 17 in Beshahr.
Siamak Ebrahimi
, was detained November 4 in Tonekaban. He was sentenced to six months in prison and two years exile in the city of Zabol, over 1100 km away from his home.
Ali Ahmadi, detained earlier this year in Mazandaran, is still being held in prison.



Iran produces cheap nuclear medicines since September of last year.
Newsagency Fars reported that the deputy director of the research and technology department of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) said that Iran no longer needs to import nuclear medecins.
He did not mention the names of the radioactive drugs.

Iran's representative in OPEC said that the oil market will see tough times next year before the market re-stabilizes.
Global oil demand would shrink for the first time in 25 years.
The OPECcountries will meet December 17 and expectations are they reduce production by approximately 1.5-2 million barrels per day.
