Iran: timestamp

The Kayhan newspaper reported on January 8th, that in the city of Jahrom, Fars province, two men were hanged in public.
The men, Mojtaba Roozgar and Mohammad Hossein Roozgar (24), were convicted of a murder 5 yeard ago.


Spokesman of the Judiciary, Alireza Jamshidi, said that four people have been tried and that the verdict and sentences will take place in a few days.
The four, not named suspects are accused of trying to topple Iranian government with USA help.
In 2007 four Americans were arrested and released later,they were never tried.


Monday announced former president Khatami that either he, or Mir-Hossein Mousavi will run in the presidential election in June.
He said so at a gathering in Ilam.

The American student Esha Momeni stil can't leave Iran.
The judicial spokesman said that her travel-ban is renewed.
He said a new charge was being investigated and he expected this new ban at least to last about a month.
Momeni was arrested last year accused of acting against national security and of making propaganda against the Islamic Republic, she was released after a month.
She was for her study making a video about woman's rights in Iran.


In Iran there are childoffenders, still on death row.

Children are being hanged to death.
A child will be hanged to death.
