Alireza Hashemi, the chairman of The Center for Educators’ Union said that no other option has been left for the educators then that educators will go on strike if their demands are not met by February 21.
The main demand is the execution of the 2006 accepted bill for civil services in making coordinated payments between salaries and benefits of current and retired employees.


Bahram Jandavi, from Salmas, West-Azerbaijan province is sentenced by the Revolutionary Court in Mahabad to two years in prison.
He was arrested 2 months ago on charges for membership in an anti-regime organization.



Fars newsagency reported that the Telecommunications Minister said that Iran plans to construct seven more satellites.
Three satellites will be capable of being launched into orbits of just under 36,000 kilometers and four are for low altitudes.
Iran als started a 12-year project to send an astronaut into space.




According to Iranian National Audit Office there have been at least 2,000 cases of infraction in the 2006-2007 budget.
This reports comes about a week after the announcement that $1.058 billion of surplus oil revenues had not been returned to the treasury.
President Ahmadinejad denied last month that the government had illegally withdrawn funds from the treasury.
The speaker for parliament also called for further investigations into the issue to ensure that the capital is returned to the treasury as soon as possible.
