Iran: plan

International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran wrote a letter to Ayatollah Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi Howzeh Riyasat-e Qoveh Qazaieh / Office of the Head of the Judiciary concerning the health and safety of imprisoned labor leader Mansour Osanloo,who is held in Rajaiee Shahr prison, in Karaj, along with violent criminals who have threatened his life.
In the past 10 days he has been violently attacked twice.
May 19 he was attacked by a group of prisoners and only escaped harm by being defended by others. May 30th, he was threatened by Morteza Lak Tabrizi,who threatened to kill him, screaming "I will have you cut into pieces with a knife.”
Osanloo's health also deteriorates.
Under international law, Iranian authorities are legally responsible for the welfare of prisoners under their supervision.
Osanloo has served over half of his sentence,and can be released at this time.

The spokesman for the judiciary Alireza Jamshidi said in the first official comment on the unrest in the city of Zahedan, that six people were killed and 20-30 people were arrested.
The disturbances broke out on Sunday, three days after the bombing of a Shi'ite mosque in Zahedan.

The daily Etemaad writes that, with the presidential elections approaching, hardline Islamist pressure groups in Iran, are becoming more active.
In the past days, they have violently attacked electoral meetings of reformists in at least two cities.
The groups are not accountable to any specific organization, and they are backed by very influential officials in the country.

The daily Etemaad Melli reports that reformist candidate Mehdi Karroubi named two more members of his Cabinet if he is to become president.
Head Management and Planning Organization is to become Mohammad-Ali Najafi and vice-president for parliamentary affairs, Mohammad-Reza Abbasifar.
