Iranian MPs have approved 18 out of 21 of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's nominees for his new cabinet.
Ahmad Vahidi is appointed to Minister of Defence, despite Argentine's claim that he is wanted for a bombing in 1994.
Massoud Mirkazemi is appointed as oil minister, despite questions over his experience.
The proposed female Minister of Health is appointed.
Two other women are rejected and the proposed Minister of Energy, Mohammad Aliabadi was also rejected.

An ally of opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi, Alireza Hosseini Beheshti says according to the website Mosharekat, that the deathtoll of post-election unrest is 72.
This is an increase of 3 since his last estimation on August 11.
Beheshti is a member of a committee set up by the opposition to investigate the fate of people caught up in the unrest.

Roozonline reports (fa) that Mehdi Karroubi announced that one of the victims of rape in prison is disappeared and that former Tehran general prosecutor and his representatives are responsible for any unfortunate event that may happen to him or his family.
The victim, who was raped while in detention, went missing after a meeting he had with representatives from the judiciary.
In a letter on Saham News website Karroubi writes that the judiciary representative's treatment of the victim at that meeting was so "ugly and repulsive" that it led to the victim's disappearance.
