Iran: investigate

September 28 are in Taybad prison five people hanged.
According to the report of Iranian police, the five were convicted for drugstrafficking
and were not named.

are allowed to be visited by the Swiss consulate.
The Swiss government represents U.S. interests in Iran, since the United States has no
formal diplomatic relations with Iran since 1979.

Yesterdays students of universities in Tehran demonstrated for
the second day. Advarnews reported that round 1000 students protested at
Sharif university against the visit of Minister of Education and Science, Kamran
Daneshjoo.
The website also reported that security guards were not able to disperse the crowed as
it kept growing.
Monday students at Tehran University demonstrated also, causing President
Ahmadinejad to cancel his visit there.
Sunday there was a smaller demonstration outside the philosophy department building of
Tehran University, where a member of Parliament, Gholam Ali Hadad Adel, gave a speech.
The protests were the first of the new schoolyear, despite the many this summer
arrested important studentleaders and professors.

Mehrnews reports that 10 policemen are detained for the
abuse and folter in Kahrizakprison.
More then 100 lawsuits have been filed against the judiciary in Kahrizak
prison,inclusive some judges.
A member of the investigating committee in parliament, Farhad Tajari, said that the
judiciary was determined to hold a trial over what happened there at the "first appropriate time".

The Iranian parliament demands an investigation to polluted Indian Basmati rice.
Last week a laboratory in Iran reportedly detected traces of arsenic, cadmium and lead
in the rice imported from India.
Investigation learned that the arsenic level in imported Indian rice was 9.7 times
higher than the standard level.
The cadmiumlevel is 0,4 ppm and the permitted level is

0,2ppm. India said to ask farmers not to sow Basmati in areas that have high constituents of
heavy metals.
