Iran: ongoing

This morning Ehsan Fattahian is in the prison of Sanandaj hanged.

Initially he was sentenced to 10 years in prison, but in appeal he was sentenced to death.

Reports say that in Iran till now 58 people have died of Mexican flu/swine flu/A H1N1.
Fars reported that the number of dead jumped from 20 last week.

IRNA reported that the Danish journalist Niels Krogsgaard, 31, has been freed by authorities.
He was arrested November 4th, during the protestdemonstrations.
He was charged with carrying out journalistic activities without an official permit.

Reformist website Mowjcamp reports that Navidi Yekta is sentenced to seven years in jail and 74 lashes.
Yekta was arrested in June during the protests.
He was accused of acting against national security, propaganda against the clerical establishment and disturbing public order.
It was the first report of someone arrested over the election protests being sentenced to lashes

ISNA reports that the Tehran prosecutor will prosecute websites that “publish baseless news.”
He said that the Ministry of Culture has announced that numerous active sites in Iran have not been registered and their operators are unidentified.
Since the presidential elections many weblogs and internet sites, including social networksites, have been filtered many times.
Commander of Security Forces Esmail Ahmadi Moghaddam announced yesterday that "there is need for greater supervision over the internet."
